Three (3) Miss Friendships all in one night: Colombia (top), India (middle) and Italy (bottom).
It doesn’t happen all the time that fierce competition overrides the spirit of genuine bonding and camaraderie in beauty contests. The ladies of Miss Earth 2012 prove that friendship is thicker than intrigues. And they have three (3) good reasons to back that up, i.e., electing not one, not two but three (3) of the most congenial of them all during rehearsals at Versailles Alabang last night. Suffice it to say that I adore this batch, hands-down!
Here are the friendliest delegates in each group:
Gold – Cindy Kohn-Cybulkiewicz of Colombia
Silver – Jen-lin Ling of Chinese Taipei
Bronze – Tereza Fajksova of Czech Republic
Gold – Prachi Mishra of India
Silver – Sara Kim of Korea
Bronze – Sarah Filush of Guam
Gold – Giulia Capani of Italy
Silver – Nel-Linda Zublewitz of Germany
Bronze – Aliona Chitoroaga of Moldova
Prachi Mishra of India (center) joyously reacting (and her mates shouting in agreement) after she was voted Miss Friendship of Group 2.
Keep the friendships alive long after the competition is over! 😉
Miss Earth Italy 2012 Giulia Capani
Back in 2010 when she was just 20, Giulia Capani tried her luck in Miss Earth Italy. She failed in that bid. Two years after, she rejoined with a fiercer disposition and was finally crowned winner. She will now be in our midst for Miss Earth 2012.
Giulia, now 22, is from Ancano in Milan. She is tall and womanly at 1.75m. In an article posted by Beneserre, the following statements were written about her (I loosely translated Italian to English):
“Italy has his queen with a green heart. The most beautiful of the green is called Giulia Capuani is from Ancona and 22 years old. In the future, she is looking at a bachelor’s degree in Biology and an active role in environmental education initiatives that starts simultaneously with the project presented at the end: eco-education for children so that, through play, they will be educated at a young age to discover and respect the environment…
The difference with the other competitors in the race for the scepter were mostly her motives. Giulia stood out among the finalists for liveliness and willingness in taking a path that will see the organization of Miss Earth International in Asia during the month of November engaged in social and environmental dimensions of the territory…”
What fortune awaits Giulia in Manila? Let’s follow her journey in Miss Earth 2012! 🙂
