When Transgender Model and Advocate Geena Rocero walked the stage during “The Naked Truth” last Saturday night at the SM MOA Arena, her entrance was met with a lot of oohs and aahs. Some of the uninitiated were simply in awe with this exotic-looking Filipina who could have definitely been a Bb. Pilipinas contender during one of the recent editions. Her sensual vibe was just too unmissable.
Of course, even if we could transplant to 2009 how Geena looks right now, BPCI still wouldn’t consider her participation. And she might not join the beeline anyways. What’s more important is that she is furthering awareness for Gender Proud. Even if it means walking down the ramp in skimpy undergarments, she wouldn’t mind.
Moving on with our Sunday Specials theme for June 22, I now present to you the fabulous Geena Rocero who is a transgender model, activist and founder of Gender Proud – “an advocacy and aid organization that stands up for the right of transgender people all over the world to “self-identify with the fewest possible barriers“.
During one of the Ted Talks, she came out as a transgender. Along with this, she is fighting for change.
“As a proud transgender woman, I’m standing up for the right of transgender individuals around the world to freely and legally define their identities — and I need your help!” If you want to take part in the petition she started, you can sign the pledge HERE.

Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
