I am pleased that the branding of Miss Supranational is now slowly taking shape with their “From the Ground Up” initiative and the catch words “Aspirational. Inspirational.”
It is high time the organizers do so in order to ride with the positive momentum the pageant is getting internationally. More than the flash of a world-class finals, they really need to sustain the essence of the reign of their winners in order to assemble future candidates who can consistently insure the continuity of their grassroots endeavors.
Miss Supranational Organization Launches Community Service Initiative
Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski, President of the Miss Supranational Organization, announced today the launch of the competition’s Community Service Initiative, ‘From the Ground Up‘. The focus of this initiative will be the launch and/or support of grassroots endeavors in the contestants’ local communities.
“The Supranational brand looks for aspirational and inspirational young people from all over the world to join our Supra Family. Focusing on our aspirations is something we should all spend time and effort on, but being of service to others is equally important. The current global pandemic has taught us that things can change within the blink of an eye. Almost every community in every country has been affected and the need for support and kindness in our immediate surroundings is greater than ever,” Parzutka von Lipinski said.
“Authenticity is crucial. We want our contestants to develop their own passion and leadership skills. It must go hand in hand with believing in what they are doing. In the years to come, we will be working with our winners to take their projects ‘From the Ground Up’. We are also hoping to visit grassroots projects in every country we travel to, so we can highlight what is being done. Grassroots initiatives can happen anywhere and at any time to address a local need. Our needs might not be exactly the same but they are all important,” added Miss Supranational Creative Director, Andre Sleigh.
‘From the Ground Up‘ will function as a call for community service opposed to being a competition among the contestants. The delegates competing for the 12th Miss Supranational title will be the first in the history of Miss Supranational to launch their ‘From the Ground Up’ initiatives.
