They are priceless gems alright.
The Forty (40) Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 displayed why they are the creme de la creme of aspirants who will compete for honors to represent the country in what could be the most eagerly-anticipated year of international participation in pageantry. Following our outstanding performance in 2013, four of these ladies will attempt to exceed – if not match – the records set.
And during the Press Presentation held yesterday at Sofitel Philippine Plaza, sixteen (16) ladies effortlessly stood out with their lovelier faces, more effervescent presence and sparkling presentation. According to the people I surveyed, they are (in the order of their levels and number assignments):

The difference between Level 1 and Level 2 is simple. The former is a group of ladies almost battle-ready any minute they are harnessed abroad, while the latter is made up of the ones who come close to the heels of pulling the rug from right under the feet of the favorites. Of course, these selections are based purely on how they handled and presented themselves yesterday. I am never ever counting the other girls out, not in this batch for sure.
And based on their individual perceptions, I’m pretty sure the favorites will try to shine even more, while those may seem to be lagging behind will double their efforts to keep up with the competition.
This year’s fight will be one of the toughest – if not the toughest – in the history of Bb. Pilipinas. Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta must be feeling so elated that she is able to assemble such a strong batch that will definitely live up to the expectations of the global pageant community. 🙂
