True to the promise of BPCI, Filipino designers were given the spotlight during the finals last Sunday night. And prior to that, the National Costume Competition also showcased their creativity. So allow me to feature a photo blog of fifteen of the evening gowns, including the new titleholders, runners-up and the rest of the Binibinis in the Top 15.

During the Miss World 2014 finals last night, Miss World 2013 Megan Young showcased three (3) Filipino designers all throughout the proceedings. First to be worn was a stylized Leo Almodal terno during the opening number. This one elicited a lot of oohs and aahs form the audience, especially that our Queen shot two birds with one stone by wearing a traditional Philippine design made by one of our own. Now, during the announcement of challenge winners, she appeared onstage wearing a red creation by Edwin Tan. This one showed her more fashionable side.
And finally, Cherry Samuya Veric took over during the Farewell Walk and eventual coronation of the new Miss World when he dressed Queen Megan in another terno that is just as stylized as Leo Almodal’s but with more details on the sleeves and the bodice.
Finally, Megan wore another terno during her farewell walk and coronation. This one is by Cherry Samuya Veric.
Hats off to out Queen for showing Philippine pride all throughout. 🙂
