It was an afternoon well-spent earlier in the day for the Gentlemen of the Philippines after Mister Tourism International Philippines 2015 Willan Pagayon and Reniel Villareal (who represented the country and placed in the Top 10 of Mister International 2015 last November
) decided to pool their birthday party resources and threw a happy charity event for the kids of Barangay 51 in PNR Dagupan, Tondo, Manila instead of setting a more private celebration with friends in a bar or restaurant. And together with Mister Model International Philippines 2015 Arcel Yambing, the three guys went all-out in sharing their time and individual fun spirits to bring laughter, games and food to the young ones from as young as 2 to 12, with even some mothers and grandmothers joining in the festive atmosphere.
It was indeed heartwarming to see the smiles in the faces of the kids who enjoyed playing a variety of parlor games and feasting on delicious food sponsored by Mommy Chit Cano Navajas, actress Nadia Montenegro and Mary Ann of 2Go Hub at Kilometer 0. Host Dodj Mallari gamely navigated all the fun activities and even participated in some of them.
But the focus was definitely on the three Gentlemen who filled in the roles of Big Brothers to all attendees and showed even bigger hearts in giving more than their time and money to make the charity-cum-celebratory event more special.
Smiles and cheers everywhere for all these young ones (Photo credit: Joy Arguil)

At The Great Adobo Cook-Off held at the Pioneer St. Market yesterday afternoon, nine (9) home cooks battled it out to prepare the best-tasting and most innovative preparation of our favorite Filipino dish. Rhealyn Montojo, a young student from STI College Alabang, was adjudged winner with her unique recipe that made use of lambanog
in her final entry plus a few other new spices. She walked away with PhP50,000.00 in cash plus a complete set of kitchen equipments from Deli Chef. Judged by an esteemed panel headed by Adobo Queen Nancy Lumen and celebrity chef Yanna Asistio, the whole event was successfully staged under the organization of the tireless Dodj Mallari of HMR Philippines and Ada Milby of Deli Chef.
Special guests during the Cook-Off were Mister International Philippines 2015 Reniel Villareal, Mister Global Philippines 2015 Rick Kristoffer Palencia, Mister International 2013 Jose Anmer Paredes, Mister Tourism International Philippines 2015 Willan Pagayon, Manhunt International Philippines 2015 Don Mcgyver Cochico and Misters 2015 2nd Runner-Up AR de la Serna. Most of them were game enough to wear the Deli Chef kitchen aprons and assisted in the grilling of some kebabs plus serving the guests with the plated food tasting samplers.
It was clearly an appetizing activity that kept everyone’s attention in command. The mere aroma of all the different adobo versions that lingered in the air were enough to make everyone go hungry.
Thank you to HMR Philippines and Dodj Mallari, Deli Chef and Brand Manager Ada Milby and Pioneer St. Market for hosting the whole thing. 🙂
