Now this is one teaser that I am dead serious about actually happening in 2020. And it’s not just because she could be one of the most gorgeous faces that any of our national beauty pageants will have next year. She also has such a spontaneous personality that blends with an engaging physical presence.
Daisha Jimenez gave it one pre-empted try a number of years back (in 2017 if memory serves me right) when she was introduced during a mock pageant of KF held at the House Manila. She did not push through with the actual application with Bb. Pilipinas, though. I was a bit disappointed then because she has all the makings of a winner. Good height (minimum of 5’9”), standout looks, excellent communication skills and, oh, she can also sing.
If you have watched the trailer of the upcoming teleserye of ABS-CBN titled “Make It With You”, Daisha somehow reminds me of the Billy/Belinda character that lead female star Liza Soberano is playing. Now it comes as no coincidence that I am making a comparison here. There simply is a striking semblance between these two. But that’s as far as I would describe the former because she has a marked identity all her own.
I really don’t care much whichever camp gets to field her (although I was told that she was supposed to join Bb. Pilipinas earlier this year under A&Q). The important thing is that she gets convinced to finally give her nod. And that 2020 is the year to do it. If the upload of her latest photo below is any hint, she could be considering it at the very least. And I am keeping my fingers crossed. She is definitely a keeper!
The beautiful Daisha Jimenez models for Charming Charlie
Ok, let’s do the credits first for this feature which appeared in today’s issue of Inquirer Lifestyle
for the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

Daisha Jimenez appears in this blog post in her pictorial for the new accessories brand “Charming Charlie”. You will remember her as the young lady who was supposed to be one of the two flag-bearers (along with Rachel Peters) of beauty camp Kagandahang Flores (KF) for Bb. Pilipinas 2017. But as fate would have it, her parents’ decision on not joining the nationals prevailed. After all, she is all of 19 and still has a long & bright future ahead in pageantry. With more training and maturity, she will definitely become a stronger force to reckon with come 2018 or 2019 when she can better rock the competition.
This 5’10” lass – who many say is a deadringer for actress Liza Soberano in person – is already making heads turn even before her name broke out as a KF trainee for BBP. And I would not be surprised at all if she is pitted against the likes of Catriona Gray – who is said to be seriously mulling about joining in the next Bb. Pilipinas.
Your thoughts about Daisha in this feature, dear readers?
And so, we now go to the third of three blog features on my classification of the Kagandahang Flores ladies for Bb. Pilipinas 2017 – the First-Timers.
These are the potential aspirants who will embark on the journey to becoming a Binibini – either for the very first-time or a return to the screening for a hoped-for first acceptance as an Official Candidate.
There are fourteen (14) in this last batch – Angelika dela Cruz, Gianna Elaiza Colcol, Maria Benjielyn Nama, Thoreen Halversen, Karen Borbon, Christina Marie Coloma, Jeanena Mae Rafer, Henna Santos, Pamela Grace Janson, Christa Borja, Marie Sherry Ann Tormes, Jamaica Ambal, Caitlyn Chao and Daisha Jimenez.
Here they are:

Marie Sherry Ann Torres
If you will notice, there are only thirteen (13) photos above. The fourteenth is Caitlyn Chao who was unable to attend the Presentation Show yesterday.
Who are the ones you’re liking above, dear readers? 🙂
26 of the 30 Kagandahang Flores entries for Bb. Pilipinas 2017 were presented earlier
Earlier in the evening at House Manila, the entries of Kagandahang Flores were presented to select members of the press plus special guests and beauty queens in a mock pageant. Thirty were supposed to be introduced, but one came in late and could only join in the very last group walk, while three were unable to come for various personal reasons.
Anyways, the roster of KF 2017 for the nationals is a mix of fresh faces, repeaters, crossovers, camp crossovers and one national beauty titlist who already competed in a major international beauty competition. They are:
1) Angelika dela Cruz
2) Rachel Peters
3) Gillian Eliza Colcol
4) Maria Benjielyn Nama

But for now, top of my head standouts so far are definitely Rachel Peters, Daisha Jimenez, Stephany Stefanowitz, Liezel Ramos, Christa Borja, Angelique de Leon and Mia Howell.
I will present to you the girls in three batches in my next few blogs so that you will appreciate them better.
Is Daisha Jimenez ready for the rigors of Bb. Pilipinas?
Now this one is a veritable wish list beauty on my part, so it’s a feature that is intended more to tease than to confirm anything. The gorgeous Daisha Jimenez – who is only 19 years old – could be a shoo-in to win a national pageant title given her looks, communication skills and overall impact as a potential Bb. Pilipinas candidate. But is she ready for the big league as early as now? Methinks that – given more exposure and experience – she could really turn into a winner. At 5’9″, she actually can still grow at least an inch or more. And with that, the chances of evolving into a more serious contender will follow.
How about you, dear readers? Are you familiar with Daisha? Share your thoughts. 🙂
PS. Daisha is part of Kagandahang Flores (KF), regardless of the brand of national pageant you will see her being fielded in this year.
Ready-or-not? Or Ready-when-truly-ready?
