Photo Blog: The Binibinis and their Store Tour of Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen

Earlier at Ali Mall and Cyber Park Tower in Araneta Center, the Binibinis of Bb. Pilipinas 2018 went on a Store Tour of Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and Taco Bell to the delight of their fans and supporters – plus lucky mall spectators – where endless photo ops and interviews were the order of the day. It was actually the first official public appearance of the ladies as all previous activities were focused on sponsor visits and the like.

All dressed in red Bb. Pilipinas shirts, the Binibinis took the time to acknowledge the cheers of everyone as well as the request for one-on-one chats with selected members of the media present.

Many thanks to Phil Reed and Lorent Martin Adrias of the restaurant chains – plus the PR group of The Araneta Center – for the invite to cover.

Tomorrow afternoon, the Store Tour of the Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Official Candidates will happen in select establishments at Araneta Center starting at 2pm. Their first stop will be Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen at Ali Mall before heading straight to the Taco Bell at the Cyber Park beside Novotel.

This will be another chance to meet the ladies and – hopefully – get quick photo ops with them.

Yesterday’s Back-To-School Charity Event of the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Queens is actually a personal advocacy of Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Nicole Cordoves for the kids of Balut, Tondo, Manila. And indeed, she was at her most glowing and emotional during the whole activity as all the young ones literally swarmed around her and gave love & hugs all around.

With the help of fellow titleholders Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina, Bb. Pilipinas International Kylie Verzosa, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Jennifer Hammond and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational Joanna Eden, she spearheaded the distribution of school supplies to 200 children as well as ice cream treats from sponsor Dairy Queen (big shoutout to Lorent Martin Adrias!)

The Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Official Candidates spent one day enjoying and resisting all the calorie-filled offerings of Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and Taco Bell

 
It was food-tripping day for the Binibinis when they went through three (3) sponsor visits at Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and Taco Bell – food chains all operated in the country by the Araneta Group of Companies.  

Resistance is a must for all forty (40) of them because eating in all three food outlets can spell the big difference between maintaining a slim waistline and pigging out on all the pizzas, blizzards and burritos they can lay their pretty hands on. But a slice or a bite or half-an-inverted ice cream treat won’t hurt, right?

Anyways, Binibinis Maria Lina Prongoso and Jessica Gonzales also had their twin birthday celebrations and were warmly greeted by everyone.

At the rate Christmas-themed TV commercials are coming up on the small screen nowadays, you won’t be surprised anymore as to which celebrity endorsers of different food and consumer products will have Yuletide 15- or 30-seconders next. And will our favorite ladies join in the fun? Of course!

Just earlier this week, our Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens – Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Bb. Pilipinas International 2015 Janicel Lubina, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015 Christi Lynn McGarry, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2015 Rogelie Catacutan and Miss Globe 2015 Ann Colis – shot their Christmas TVC for Dairy Queen at GAMA Studio where they had fun playing around in make-believe snow, giant spoons and winter clothes.

Janicel is proud of her Dairy Queen ad and TVC

Bb. Pilipinas International 2015 Janicel Lubina has not been that present in the social limelight the past month or so. Except for a string of BPCI-approved appearances like Dairy Queen and the like, she has really been pretty focused on training and preparing for Miss International 2015. After all, she will be the first among our Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens to be fielded in pageant battle abroad.

Janicel devotes her time to gym training, with regular one-on-one sessions in personality development and communication. And in just a matter of weeks from now, she will need to begin her lessons in Nihongo with the language teacher assigned by BPCI’s partners. There’s nothing like being able to speak more than just a sprinkle of the Japanese language to help endear her even more to the Tokyo locals. Given the anticipation of her arrival there, people will have a great deal of interest in our bet.

So is Janicel Lubina getting there? She most definitely is. 😉

image Yesterday afternoon, our Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens – Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Janicel Lubina, Christi McGarry, Rogelie Catacutan and Ann Colis – attended the Press Launch of their TV Commercial for Dairy Queen – the first in a long while for a 30-seconder to be produced locally for the frozen delight.

And you only need to wait till June 28 to see the said commercial air on cable TV. If you want to watch the same on free TV, then it should follow soon after.

For the Philippine Star Women of Allure 2015, Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach unleashed yet another appearance of her beautifully transforming self for Miss Universe 2015.

After all the sweaty workout posts I have made about her, it’s time to see her glamorous side, together with the more relaxed and wacky photos (see below) of her as a Dairy Queen staff and during a boodle lunch she shared with the other Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens during a meaningful Gawad Kalinga project.
