Mariel with leading man Coco Martin
Look who’s going to be the next leading lady of actor Coco Martin in Star Cinema’s remake of “Ang Panday” for the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival – it’s Bb. Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon!
This is going to be the first big movie break of our Bb. Pilipinas queen and in a love interest role to one of the country’s top film and TV actors at that. I am pretty sure Mariel is excited about the project. I just hope that the principal photography and post-production demands won’t interfere with her training and preparations for Miss International 2017.
Congratulations, Mariel! 🙂

I just love the concept of Bench TV and benchingko/films. And I dig their short films as well. The one above is entitled “Kama” (Bed), a 5-minute musical which features Lovi Poe in one of the sets (Kamanyakan). The three other shorts are “Perya” with Piolo Pascual, “Horsepower” with Coco Martin, “Star Teacher” with Lucy Torres-Gomez, “Kontrabida 101″ with Bella Flores, and “25 Bens” starring Ben Chan himself.

These movies were released as part of Bench’s 25 years in the business.
I decided to blog about the May issue of Men’s Health Magazine not just because Coco Martin is on the cover, but also to give a shout-out regarding their upcoming Men’s Health All-Terrain Race which will be held on June 5, 2011 at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Interested individuals who want to run and bike can sign up until June 1. Limited slots available so get up and join now!

Here are photos from the Bench/Uncut Denim & Underwear Show held last July 2, 2010 at the Araneta Coliseum. Many thanks to Photographer Fritz Tentativa and his website. Enjoy!

More of the Bench models who provided the sizzles!
They may not be the main models but they certainly gave the show more spiciness!

Jake Cuenca closed the show, but I couldn't post his more revealing shot after removing the huge cape and classic brief. LOL!

Once more, thanks to Mr. Fritz Tentativa for the images above. If you want to see more, you can click HERE. 😉
Today (and not May 26 as the poster above states), an indie movie with a respectable cast of Film and TV performers will open on limited run in Metro Manila theatres.
Noy, the Movie – directed by Dondon S. Santos from the screenplay of Shugo Praico – stars one of the Philippines’ current showbiz heartthrobs Coco Martin together with Cherry Pie Picache, Joem Bascon, Erich Gonzales, Baron Geisler and Vice Ganda. It tells the story of a family breadwinner who posed as a journalist tasked to cover the campaign trail of his namesake – Senator Noynoy Aquino – in the 2010 Philippine Presidential Elections. It contains actual documentary footages combined with a family drama that revolves around poverty, survival and hope for the Filipino family.
Here is the movie’s official trailer:
