First is the Miss Global Philippines 2017 at Resorts World Manila where Camille Cj Hirro will crown her successor among the 22 beautiful contenders below. See who will take home the victory at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Best of luck to all the ladies, but most especially to my favorites Jacqueline Mayoralgo, Mary Ann Mungcal, Charmaine Aller, Frencheska Frias Nueva and Christine Balaguer.
normannorman.com will be at the venue to cover with Joy Arguil and Joseph Gerard V. Jose.
And over at the PICC Plenary Hall at CCP Complex in Pasay City, the thirty (30) candidates of Miss Manila 2017 will try to outshine each other as they go onstage for the crowning of a new face for the city to succeed Cristelle Tolentino.
I have more than a few ladies here who I want to land on top, such as former Binibini 4 Maria Gail Tobes, Kristine Montes, Joanna Tolledo, Katrina Sese and Athena Catriz.
Who will be the lucky girl to win PhP1 Million Pesos in the end?

Angelee delos Reyes hosted the Presscon
Following their selection as the newest endorsers of Belmeré Skin Centre by owner Michelle Encarnacion, the winners of Miss Global Philippines 2016 led by Camille CJ Hirro and Gentlemen of the Philippines bannered by Mister Universal Ambassador Philippines 2016 Andrea Biondo were ushered to a Press Launch that saw the ladies meet the gentlemen for the very first time.
With Tourism Ambassadors Perlyn Ocampo, Sammie Anne Legaspi, Clarize Barrameda and Princess Garcia plus Gentlemen titleholders Job Abogado, Paul Renzo Velo, Jason Martin, Kian Sumague, Christian Lumasag and Joshua Marquez (with Runners-Up Miguel Alexis Maliwat and Rex Calimbayan), the two groups represent the new faces of the skin care centre that has assembled a bigger family of endorsers covering both male and female pageant winners.
The big group are now certified to promote Belmeré for one full year with all their skin care services covered during their reign and pageant missions abroad.
Members from the media, including Tito Lhar Santiago of GMA-7, were around to witness the contract signing as well as field in questions to everyone.
Truly, Belmeré Skin Centre is where beauty begins! 🙂

Miss Global Philippines 2016 CJ Hirro and 3/4 of her court in front of the Pampanga Capitol
When I saw a Facebook update of Miss Global Philippines 2016 Camille “CJ” Hirro making a visit to her home province of Pampanga along with the other winners, I initially sensed nothing amiss with the group photo she posted in front of the Pampanga Capitol. But after looking closely, I noticed something a bit different with the composition of her companions.
Sure, 2nd Runner-Up and Global Ambassador Janelle Olafson was missing (maybe she had prior commitments in Manila that prevented her from joining). 1st and 3rd Runners-Up and also Global Ambassadors Perlyn Ocampo and Sammie Anne Legaspi were present. But it is the absence of 4th Runner-Up Christine Horstmann that got me into thinking, along with the fact that Clarize Angelica Barrameda now wears a Miss Global Philippines Runner-Up sash. A promotion definitely happened. And with that, could a removal be far behind?
The usual suspects are either Janelle or Christine. Their absence makes it look unofficial that one of them could have been pulled out or something. And a Press Presentation could be looming soon to make things more official on what actually happened.
Be that as it may, I am happy with Clarize being part of the court now. She fully deserves to be up there with the rest. 😉

Camille Hirro, or CJ if you want to get her attention fast, is one of the best speakers among the Miss Global Philippines 2016 candidates. She is just as good in expressing herself verbally as she is in translating her thoughts into penned or Word formats. This UP graduate does some work as ghost writer for some politicians and known personalities whose identities cannot be disclosed.
But to better appreciate CJ, one really needs to sit down and talk to her. She has an impressive way of delivering her statements. Call it her gift of gab. And in no time at all, you will know why the short hair really fits herbto a T. She is smart and confident – a good example of a modern Filipina.
Watch a video of CJ now when she was featured on the EZ Shop show “Taumbahay”.

At 28, CJ is one of the big sisters among the Miss Global Philippines contenders. But don’t mind the age because she is one lady you can be proud to show off in any public appearance or perhaps, an international beauty contest here or abroad. 🙂

Camille “CJ” Hirro is from the province of Pampanga and calls UP Diliman her alma mater.
CJ is another talent coming from the Kagandahang Flores camp. What sets her apart from the rest is the fact that, instead of sporting long and wavy tresses, she went the opposite route and had hers cut short, a la Gabriela Kratochvilova if you ask me. Will the risky strategy work? Or will she get the boot as early as the first callback? Let’s watch what happens. 😉
Do you like CJ with the longer hair?
