The 10 ladies plus Olivia Culpo who were invited to the Nobu Moscow gig
Best of friends Ariella Arida and Patricia Rodriguez are part of the Nobu Moscow invite.
Our girl in Moscow has scored another gig. And this one’s big. Together with Olivia Culpo and the delegates of Peru, Japan, Russia, Czech Republic, Spain, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Ukraine and France, they will attend the Nobu Moscow Demo Show on November 6- a day after the Preliminaries.
And why, you might ask, the event is important? Internationally-renowned Chef Nobu happens to be one of the judges for finals night on November 9. And being there is as important as getting a crucial face-to-face encounter. No need to do the math here.
Ariella is definitely getting the good breaks! 🙂
P.S. In addition, our girl is one of the 12 delegates who will appear in Russian singer Emin’s new music video. 😉
(L-R) Patricia Rodriguez of Spain, Ariella Arida of the Philippines and Cindy Mejia of Peru have maintained a good friendship inspite of the endless pressures in the competition.
Finding the ladies you will establish a clique with ain’t easy when a Miss Universe crown is at stake. Thankfully, once you’re thrown in a roomful of candidates with varying personalities, the tendency is to gravitate to those you have something in common with. Regardless of the language barrier, the friendship that started among three ladies from three different continents – one from Europe, another from South America and a third from Asia – has become closer.
Ariella Arida of the Philippines, Cindy Mejia of Peru and Patricia Rodriguez of Spain have good chemistry among them. Intrigues, petty issues and what-have-yous come and go. But whatever is developed among the three of them will stay beyond the duration of the competition. And I’m pretty sure they will be genuinely happy for each other should a semifinal slot await all three. 😉

When Miss Philippines Ariella Arida arrived in Moscow, one of her most important objectives is to befriend as many delegates as possible regardless of the language barrier for most. For example, she doesn’t speak Spanish, but that did not stop her from hanging out with the Latinas. The picture above (taken during the Welcome Dinner) shows her becoming more at ease in the company of Cindy Mejia, Patricia Rodriguez, Fabiana Granados (who was here in Manila for ME2012) and Alba Delgado.
Ariella is as comfortable with the Asian delegates.
And I’m happy to note that our bet is enjoying herself to the max – which is an excellent advise she got from all her predecessors. 😉
