There are always two groups to blogging in terms of readership – the people I write about and the people who read what I write about. Both sides are automatically part of my captive audience in this site. And I always give equal importance, no matter what.

But for my Christmas blog post, let me focus on you, dear readers. The ones who stood by me, who will never allow a day pass without checking out what’s being offered and who consider normannorman.com as some sort of a hang-out place – be it for sharing good comments, throwing potshots at others or just adding up more substance to what I have already written about.

You stayed with me during my good days, my not-so-good days, my lazy days, my days of personal struggle and pain, days when I just want to leave everything behind but thought against it whenever the cloud of doubts would clear up and I can start seeing things clearly behind my thick glasses.

I work hard every single day. I wake up early and sleep late. I don’t mind messing up my body clock. For as long as I can still humanly deliver, I keep on churning out whatever screenshots from my brain can inspire me to just start typing on the keys of my laptop or tablet.

For 2016, here are memories of my blog coverages in photos. I never imagined accumulating so many images that a close friend once told me that my iPhone looks more like a public property more than a personal unit. 90% of it is devoted to blogging and whatever is left get to be used up by selfies and family activities.

I would’ve never lasted this long without you, dear readers. After all, what’s the use of daily blogging without readers on the other end to catch my thoughts? You always keep me focused. There may be times when it was just physically impossible for me to sustain the regularity of things. But through it all – drunk, sober, nice, feisty, tired, drained or just hopelessly in love – I’m still standing.

A Very Merry Pageant-Fulfilling Christmas to one and all!

It’s the day before Christmas here in Manila and what a roller coaster year in pageantry 2015 has been so far. The best part is that we had so many of the dizzying ups than the scary drops.

We got our most precious gift last Monday when Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach delivered the Miss Universe crown as promised. Just days earlier, Christi Lynn McGarry almost snatched the Miss Intercontinental title before Hillarie Parungao accomplished a difficult-to-crack Top 10 placement during Miss World. And even two weeks prior, Angelia Ong sizzled with a back-to-back win in Miss Earth, in addition to Rogelie Catacutan’s Top 20 spot in Miss Supranational. What a December this has really been.

And let’s not forget the other worth-citing ladies and gentlemen who started the ball rolling for us. There’s Parul Shah contributing a 3rd Runner-Up finish in Miss Grand International. And how can we miss Ann Colis with an explosive Miss Globe clincher, followed by a win by Trixie Maristela as Miss International Queen, a 1st Runner-Up notch for Daziella Gange in Miss Heritage and a Top 10 placement for Janicel Lubina in Miss International. Add to that the Top 10 inclusion of Reniel Villareal in Mister International, a Top 3 run for Judah Cohen in Mister Tourism International and a Top 6 rank in Mister Model International with Arcel Yambing. And just so you know as well, Cindy Madumma added a special side treat by nailing Miss Scuba International.

The year ain’t over, but Christmas is just a wink away. So let me greet all of my friends, readers, followers and loved ones a Very Merry Christmas! The sound of Jingle Bells and the chime of Silver Bells are ringing out loud for the Philippines. Let it snow! Or better yet, let’s all give Love on Christmas Day! It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
