The beautiful Miss Thailand Universe 2010 Fonthip Watcharatrakul will relinquish her crown tonight.

Thailand has progressed quite well in the international pageant scene, especially in the Miss Universe Pageant with a couple of their representatives (like Farung Yuthitum and Charm Osathanond) placing in the semis in recent years. Moreover, their non-placing delegates have won special awards like Miss Photogenic (Chutima Durongdej & Fonthip Watcharatrakul) and Best in National Costume (Fonthip Watcharatrakul).

Tonight, Miss Thailand-Universe 2011 will be announced during the pageant finals to be held at the Royal Paragon Hall of Siam Paragon. The winner will be Thailand’s entry to the Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paolo, Brazil, with the First Runner-Up to be sent to Miss Earth 2011 in Manila later this year.
