This coming weekend, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez will be departing for Sta. Cruz, Bolivia via NYC to represent the Philippines in Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 where she will have the challenging task of going for a back-to-back win in the international tilt since the reigning titleholder is Teresita Ssen Marquez. She was in high spirits all throughout the sendoff hosted by National Director Arnold Vegafria and Miss World Philippines General Manager Bessie Besana at Annabel’s Restaurant.
Aside from advocating to promote the Hispanic culture during the actual period of beauty battle (and hopefully longer if she wins the crown for the Philippines once more), Alyssa will continue to support her Gentle Hands Inc. – an organization that helps improve the lives of children who come from situations of crisis, trauma and abuse.
Alyssa was joined in the sendoff by two of her “sisters” – Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez and 1st Princess Chanel Morales.
Her National Costume will be executed by Maestro John, while Designer Benj Leguiab IV will be doing her competition evening gown once more.
Alyssa will be flying to Sta. Cruz, Bolivia by her lonesome, but remains undaunted by the long-haul flight segments because she will take those opportunities to get much-needed sleep. She has barely two weeks of preparation, after all.
She has brushed up on her conversational Spanish and has prepared a medley of Spanish songs to sing during the TV Presentation of the candidates as part of the pre-pageant activities.
From all of us here at normannorman.com, buenas suerte!
