Some of you might still be unaware that there is an ongoing online voting for the Miss Earth Eco-Beauty Video. You will only need to like a particular country entry (or more if you happen to like a lot of them). After watching the several clips of the delegates, I have come up with eight (8) that merited my ‘Like’ below. If you agree with one or more of my choices, you can also ‘Like’ them online by clicking HERE and searching for a delegate’s work.
Check out the following (in order of personal preference):
1. Miss Earth Russia Natalia Pereverzeva
2. Miss Earth Brazil Camila Brant
3. Miss Earth Nicaragua Braxis Alvarez
4. Miss Earth India Prachi Mishra
5. Miss Earth Wales Zoe Kinsella
6. Miss Earth US Virgin Islands Carolyn Whitney Carter
7. Miss Earth Philippines Stephany Stefanowitz
8. Miss Earth Argentina Tatiana Bischof
If we are to go for technical merits, Russia’s video stands out miles ahead of the rest. It is the most well-produced among the lot. But since ‘likes’ count a lot in this side contest to the main pageant, support and popularity make significant dents that do not necessarily mean an excellent online video for the eco-thrust of Miss Earth. So my shoutout is meant to gather more views and thumbs-up for Natalia Pereverzeva (or the others in my 8 faves). 😉
Since it’s already the start of November and the contenders should start pouring in the country around these days, I decided to post a video showing the beautiful delegates who comprise my Pre-Arrival Favorites for Miss Earth 2012. Do keep in mind that this selection is purely based on online sources. At any rate, will the same ladies remain on top of my scoresheet come Finals Night on November 24? It all depends on how they will present themselves all throughout their stay in Manila. So many things can happen between now and then, so the list is very likely to still have some changes.
Please play the video below:
Top tier (from top left, clockwise: Natalia Pereverzeva of Russia, Prachi Mishra of India, Osmariel Villalobos of Venezuela, Camila Brant of Brazil, Braxis Alvarez of Nicaragua, Ilknur Melis Durasi of Turkey, Tereza Fajksova of Czech Republic and Fabiana Granados of Costa Rica.)
2nd tier (from top left, clockwise: Tamerin Jardine of South Africa, Estefania Realpe of Ecuador, Darli Pacheco of Puerto Rico, Svetlana Raschupkina of Kazakhstan, Brooke Maria Sherman of Bahamas, Esther Cheyanne Foss of Fiji, Jenna Seymour of Australia and Warrathaya Wongchayaporn of Thailand.)
No need to make explanations at this point. I just want to compare notes with you, dear readers, on which girls excite you so far. 😉
P.S. The 30-minute video above could no longer accommodate my 15th and 16th ladies (Esther Foss of Fiji and Brooke Sherman of Bahamas) due to account limitations. So I decided to post their photo grids. 🙂
Miss Earth Nicaragua 2012 Braxis Alvarez
Gut feel tells me that there’s something special about Miss Earth Nicaragua 2012 Braxis Alvarez. I cannot put into specific words how I feel about her just yet, but she exudes a comforting aura that is both warm and calming, sisterly if you will.
Watch her video below first.

Braxis was born on Valentine’s Day 24 years ago in Rio San Juan, Nicaragua. Now a resident of Managua, she finished a degree in Architecture. She was her country’s bet to Top Model Universe 2009, but is more fascinated now that she is competing in Manila for a title that brings her closer to the causes of nature and Mother Earth as a whole.
Environmentally, she is all for energy independence. She stresses on
“…the WIND HOME OF LOW POWER or wind systems that can be made with household materials and are inexpensive.” As an architect, she believes that she can spearhead this project in the rural areas to reduce energy needs and the pressure on natural resources.
Braxis seems to be one individual who can put into fruition what she sets her mind into. Will she – in the meantime – be able to make a convincing performance to become Nicaragua’s first Miss Earth? 🙂
