In recent history, no event has impacted the entire world more than the COVID-19 pandemic. It has brought the world to a standstill resulting in stagerring socio-economic impact that doesn’t discriminate. Filipinos from every walk of life have many heartbreaking stories to tell of this unique time in our lives.
During these times, some question the relevance of pageantry. The answer lies not in the glitz and glamour but in its ability to inspire. Now more than ever, the need to keep pushing forward is vital. The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 is very proud to announce the partnerships it has formed with brands that inspire us. They are essential in boosting our economy and uplifting the livelihood of many Filipinos.
However, as the country navigates through these challenges, stories of resiliency and hope emerge. Despite economic challenges, these brands have chosen to support not just an organization or a beauty pageant. Through the official delegates and future queens, they have inspired millions of Filipinos all over the country and the world. Together, Miss Universe Philippines and these brands are revitalizing the economy and industries.
Each of the major sponsors is aligned with the values of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization. Frontrow Philippines has been changing the lives and ensuring the wellbeing of Filipinos for more than a decade. Creamsilk has been encouraging Filipinas to bring out the greatness that’s in every one of them. Lazada lives up to its monicker that everything that you need to inspire you can be found in Lazada. Belo SunExpert believes this is the time to do more so they take care of sun protection. PLDTMyHome has been a true essential during the pandemic and inspires us that we can be better in these challenging times.
In addition, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization is thankful to BYS Cosmetics, Resorts World Manila, MG Cars, Jojo Bragais, CAD (Center for Advanced Dentistry) and Gary Dacanay Event Styling.
According to the MUPh Director of Communications Voltaire Tayag, “Their sponsorship goes beyond the financial and promotional values. No business is spared from the trying times but this is not the time to do nothing. This is the time to reach out, engage and most importantly inspire. We are beyond grateful that they share this common mission with us.”
Miss Universe Philippines, with its millions of organic reach and engagement not just from the Philippines but around the world, will be the perfect vehicle to do that.
Truly, a partnership with Miss Universe Philippines shows that various sectors and industries are united in inspiring millions to dream and hope for a better future.
The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Preliminary Competitions and Pageant Finals on a date TBA will be available through a KTX Season Pass subscription on KTX.ph.
Ready for his formal wear photoshoot, our Mister Supranational Philippines 2022 John Adajar is!
John is wearing a Chico Estiva suit paired with a black pair of Bragais Shoes. He belongs to the strong Group 3 along with the candidates from Netherlands, Peru, Spain, Panama, Colombia, Poland, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Philippines, Malta, France, Belgium, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Aruba and Sierra Leone.
For the past couple of days now, my “anak” – Jojo Bragais of Bragais Shoes fame (left photo) – has been posting the teasers above. And I have a strong gut feel that all of these will bring us to something exciting. I am not making any second guesses because I have a pretty good hunch what it could be all about. For now, let us not spoil anything. After all, it won’t take long till any kind of reveal takes place in our pageant midst.
Here are videos of the first half of the Bb. Pilipinas 2020 candidates for Bragais Shoes.
As they say “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world, the crown rather.” A glimpse of scenes that transpired during the shoot of Jojo Bragais for Binibinining Pilipinas.

When words just don’t easily flow from the heart, an act of love and acceptance can fill the missing pieces that would complete the puzzle of life and the relationships that we all are born to face.
In celebration of Father’s Day – which also coincides with the LGBTQ+ month of June – BRAGAIS SHOES brings to us a short video titled “Papa’s Boy” where the two special occasions have been intertwined to come up with a moving tale which harks back to this quote from author Jack Frost: “Unconditional love is never based upon the merit of the one receiving it; it is based upon the loving nature of the one giving it.”
The 5-minute clip tells of the strains in the relationship between a father and his gay son on the verge of coming out. Strains that can be positively changed with parental understanding leading to an act of acceptance – and giving back love the best way he knows how.
This video is the directorial debut of renowned shoemaker Jojo Bragais who also took charge of casting the two lead performers – the Father and Son played by Roi Paolo Calilong and Johnsel Rotol, respectively.
