Meet the Creative Consultant of Miss Universe UAE (United Arab Emirates). She is none other than former Bb. Pilipinas World Maggie Wilson!
Josh Yugen is the President and National Director.
I feel that both Josh and Maggie can bring a classy and sophisticated feel to the inaugural edition of the pageant.
Kudos to you!
Beauty Queens Parul Shah and Maggie Wilson are two of the Philippine teams in the latest season of The Amazing Race Asia
This coming October, the latest season of The Amazing Race Asia on the AXN Channel will premiere with eleven (11) teams from different Asian countries competing for the US$100,000 grand prize. For the interest of pageant followers, one of the two Philippine pairs is the tandem is made up of former Bb. Pilipinas titleholders Parul Shah (who competed for and placed 3rd Runner-Up during Miss Grand International 2015 in Bangkok) and Maggie Wilson-Consunji (our entry during Miss World 2007 held in Sanya, China).
Parul and Maggie trained hard for the race
Along with the 2nd Philippine team – married couple Eric Tai (formerly of It’s Showtime) and Rona Samson – they will try to bring back-to-back honors to the country by bagging top place in the reality series that saw the last season’s pair of best buddies Richard Hardin and Richard Herrera taking it all the way to #1.

Bb. Pilipinas World 2008 Danielle Castaño
Danielle during MW2008
Yesterday afternoon, Bb. Pilipinas World 2008 Danielle Castano formally held the blessing of her self-named spa in Libis/Acropolis (in the same building as Gold’s Gym
) – the Danielle Castaño Slimming and Wellness Spa
– where some of her close friends, clients and media gathered to witness the officiating rites in the place.
The ribbon cutting was performed by TV5 actress Ritz Azul who is the spa’s celebrity endorser. In attendance were Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 1993 Jenette Fernando (the aunt of Danielle) , Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2008 Jennifer Barrientos and Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti. Representatives from ABS-CBN, GMA-7 and TV5 were also spotted among the selected guests.
Now, if you’ll get to see the large billboards of the place along C-5 and SLEX, Designer Bessie Besana (photo below) created the attires with Raymond Saldaña doing the photography.

Marie-Ann (2nd from right) and MJ (1st from left) get a warm welcome from the Chiang Rai organizers of Miss Asean 2012.
Marie-Ann Umali and MJ Lastimosa enjoying the charm and beauty of Chiang Rai, Thailand.
You all know by now that we have two gorgeous Filipinas representing us in the flower-themed Miss ASEAN 2012 currently being hosted by Chiang Rai in the northernmost part of Thailand. And as if it’s not enough that our former Bb. Pilipinas World Marie-Ann Umali is in it, the eternally curvaceous MJ Lastimosa has also joined the fray to make the competition more difficult for the organizers.
Two Miss Philippines. Two Miss Indonesias. Who’s the prettiest?
The Miss ASEAN ladies visit the Golden Triangle.
I am not in any way belittling the entries from other regional nations, but our two solid and experienced delegates are so polished that the hosts were thrilled to no end upon seeing them during arrivals the other day. Marie-Ann and MJ are constantly swarmed by the locals for photo ops, just as their fellow candidates are simply in awe of their beauties. I can’t see how we are going to lose this title. And that’s the truth.
Two Miss Philippines. Two Miss SIngapores. Who’s the prettiest?
By the way, the finals for Miss ASEAN 2012 is scheduled this coming Sunday, December 23. Who will the winner be? Take your pick! Two outstanding Pinays. Only one crown at stake. 😉
Who will it be – MJ (left) or Marie-Ann?

Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Official Candidate Jenroe Gubat
5’ 6″ ; 20
Bulacan State University
Special Talent/Sports/Hobbies –
watching TV, badminton
This pretty Bulakenya – who resembles actress Angel Locsin from some angles – tried her luck with Mutya ng Pilipinas last 2009 when she was just 18 and was fortunate to have reached the semi-finals. However, she lost the crown to Jane Banares but remained unfazed by the outcome. This year, she is back with a vengeance. Armed with a whistle-bait figure, gloriously brown skin and a clean, well-styled self, she is targetting a Binibining Pilipinas crown to prove that she has what it takes to become a beauty queen.
Now here’s the all-important question. Is she winnable? Well, it depends on how her communication skills will improve between now and the April coronation night. You see, Jenroe leaves much to be desired when asked to express herself in speech. We have to accept the fact that the Philippine representative cannot rely on speaking in the vernacular once competing abroad. True, the winners will be trained by Dale Carnegie, but even before being crowned, a candidate should be able to carry herself through Q&As without embarrassing herself. With that in mind, I can only wish Jenroe lots of luck in the pageant. 😉
Here they are! The winners of Binibining Pilipinas 2010 have been crowned during glittering ceremonies at the Araneta Coliseum last Saturday night.
