Just what are the chances of two Filipinas rooming together once more for an international pageant?
We shall find out I soon, I reckon.
Miss Supranational USA 2018 Katrina Jayne Dimaranan will be leaving for Poland shortly, just as the Philippines’ Jehza Huelar will also be departing for the host country this coming Sunday.
I am uber excited to see the new version of Trina on the big pageant stage. My dear friend, Voltaire Tayag, showed me some videos of her training and the former Bb. Pilipinas Tourism titleholder has beautifully evolved into one fierce competitor.
She was crowned as Bb. Pilipinas Tourism back in 2012 (along with Janine Tugonon for Miss Universe and Nicole Schmitz for Miss International). This year, Katrina Jayne Dimaranan is taking a big step forward after her appointment as Miss Supranational USA 2018.
US National Director for Miss Supranational Cecilio Asuncion has made a good move in giving Trina the chance to shine bright in the international pageant stage – something which she was unable to realize during her Bb. Pilipinas reign.
Congratulations are in order! May you and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2018 Jehza Huelar be the best of sisters in the competition!
Katrina Dimaranan for Dolce & Gabanna
Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2012 Katrina Jayne Dimaranan is seriously considering taking part in another pageant. With her BPCI contract now fulfilled, I’m pretty sure it won’t be Bb. Pilipinas anymore since the organizers do not allow its previous titleholders re-joining. This despite them ‘wasting’ her reign.
So what’s left to consider? Miss World Philippines 2014, of course. I know it’s still a long way from now. But I think she would make a worthy successor to Miss World 2013 Megan Young for the national crown. And should she eventually be it, then I believe we have an excellent candidate who can go for a back-to-back win quite convincingly. The 5’9″ 20 year-old is beautiful, sexy, articulate and top it off, has an excellent singing voice that would make her shine in tbe Talent segment. Aces & Queens promises to be all-out in supporting her.
So what say you, dear readers? Go or no go for MWP2014? 😉
First off, belated birthday (June 6) greetings to our sweet Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan! Hope you had a really good one yesterday!
Now let’s go to the birthday wish I tweeted her about yesterday. It’s no secret that we all want her to wear the Philippine sash abroad. We don’t want to waste her beauty and pass her beauty queen prime without even participating in any international pageant. BPCI should give her the chance to do so. She’s a crowned winner and eager to do the country proud. Why deny her the opportunity? I’m pretty sure there are reputable organizers who would like Bb. Pilipinas to field a handpicked lady for their competition. And Katrina should be able to fill in the slot if ever.
Will the wish happen this 2013?
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for that. 😉

Okay, troops. Ready to watch the more gutsy and talented among the 50 Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Official candidates exhibit their individual skills and abilities? Check your calendar and mark the afternoon of March 9 (this coming Saturday) to watch this year’s Talent Competition at the Gateway Activity Area starting at 3:00PM.
In last year’s edition, Katrina Dimaranan (before winning the Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism 2012 title) displayed excellent rhythm-and-blues vocals to convince the talent judges to select her as the most talented. Who will succeed her? Will it be an equally gifted singer like Theresa Fenger, Jam Mayoralgo or Mariel de Leon? Or will it be another baton-twirling turn from one of the regional bets who grew up practicing with marching bands? Or will it be a unique presentation like a multimedia act from Hannah Ruth Sison or a swift gun-wielding show from Bence Bianzon? Whatever it is, the whole event is sure to be far from boring. 😉
Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan is excited for MTQI2012!
Sensuously lovely Katrina!
Time flies so fast. And for Bb. Pilipinas Tourism Katrina Dimaranan, her date with Miss Tourism Queen International 2012 is getting nearer and nearer by the day. Since all the candidates need to be in Beijing by December 12, she should be getting her own send-off a few days earlier.
The finals will take place on December 28. And while she will definitely be spending Christmas away from home, the challenge of bringing honor to the country outweighs everything such that she has already conditioned herself to the less-than-familial Holiday celebrations in Mainland China. Who knows, she might be able to pull a victory and set herself up for a festive New Year’s Eve party in Manila. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for that possibility. 😉
P.S. Katrina will be showcasing her excellent singing voice during the Talent Competition of the pageant. By now, she must’ve already zeroed in on her song of choice, and I heard it might be Beyonce’s “I Was Here”.
Sexy, sweet and flirty all rolled into one. That's our Katrina!
Although no official word has yet been released by BPCI, 2012 Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism Katrina Jayne Dimaranan is not letting her guards down in shaping up for a pending international representation come December. I checked the website of Miss Tourism Queen International and there was still no inclusion of the Philippines in the roster of 2012 candidates.
At any rate, Trina remains optimistic that she will also experience a formal send-off and wear the Philippine sash abroad. She is the least bothered that Beijing will host MTQI2012. Inspite of the political tension between our two countries, she is more focused on improving herself in all aspects of possible competition.
Once it’s all systems go, this 19 year-old will certainly give the global pageant her best shot. If she wants, she can use MTQI2006 Justine Gabionza (the only Filipina to have won the title so far) as peg. They exude similar qualities which could work in Trina’s favor. 😉
