And she will welcome her sisters with open arms to the City of Pines. Weather is definitely cooler up there at 22 °C.

So do you have any plans of going up to Baguio City anytime soon? Like within the month of October? Well, the Tourism people of the City of Pines will welcome you as soon as you complete their health and safety protocols upon entering its gateway.

But if your plan is to maybe do a side trip to sneak into the much talked-about hosting of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Preliminaries and Finals in the Summer Capital of the country, think again. The restrictions are anticipated to be at an all-time high and – unless you have an important and accredited business to do there – access will be extremely challenging.

Better stick to watching the episodes of the Ring Light Series until the end because the finals can be watched there – or maybe through GMA Network.

I have already made blog spotlights for practically all of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 phenomenal women all throughout the quarantine period (although one or two will still be coming soon). Now this entry for Bea Theresa Maynigo of Baguio City is too cute to pass up on. She wants to give away something to a lucky pageant-aspiring girl out there.

“Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.” …the universe rather💃🏻

When I joined my first fashion show competition in 2010, I had to wear these heels that was a bit loose because it was all I had. I struggled throughout the show and it affected my confidence so much. In the end, all I got were shoe bites due to the friction.

When I competed in my first pageant in 2015, I was using these heels that I had for 4 years already. It was old and it was starting to tear apart that I had to use rubber bands to keep it together 🙈. During the competition, someone let me borrow their 8 inches glass heels (that was the first time I wore 8 inches heels btw) It gave me so much confidence and it enabled me to bring home my first crown.

In 2018, when I represented the Philippines in an international pageant, I was surprised when I saw all the other candidates. I always thought I was already tall for having a height of 5’8″, but in that competition I was one of the smallest candidates 😅 I wore my 6.5 inches heels almost everyday for 3 weeks. That way I wasn’t left behind, and I was able to bring home 2 crowns for the country.

My heels have brought me to a lot of wonderful places. It led me to where I am now. It made my dreams come true. And now, I want to make someone’s dream come true, too.

Kylie during her arrival presscon in the City of Pines

Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa is now in her native Baguio City for the homecoming celebrations prepared by the Officials of the City of Pines and her loved ones.

She had her arrival presscon first at the Cordillera Garden Verandah of the Baguio Country Club where Kapihan sa Baguio is regularly conducted. This was followed by her appearance at the 67th Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament in the same place.

Tomorrow, Kylie will have her Homecoming Parade around the main streets. She will have her kababayans cheering and all. And in the evening, there will be a Charity Dinner which she will grace.

Come Sunday, the Victory Party in her honor will be held. And this will definitely be a festive one.

This will be a very busy weekend for our Miss International 2016 amd my coverage partner Joy Arguil is there to take pictures of the activities, along with Kylie’s Angels. 🙂
