Last year, the Philippines claimed its first-ever 1st Runner-Up finish in Miss International when Ma. Ahtisa Manalo placed second to eventual winner Mariem Claret Velazco of Venezuela. It was a placement that could have gone either way for the two fiercely-competing countries which have so far collected the most number of wins in the Japan-based competition.
This year, will it be a duplicate for the Philippines with Atty. Bea Patricia Magtanong? There’s always a good chance of that happening, just as making it simply to the Top 5 or the Top 10 is the best that she can deliver in the finals.
Personally, I am rooting for Patch. So I really hope that she becomes our 7th.
Anyways, below are some rehearsal photos for the Final Gala of Miss International Beauty Pageant 2019 with her.
The coronation will be streamed live on the pageant’s Facebook page, Youtube channel and Hikari TV starting at 2pm (Japan time) tomorrow afternoon (around 1pm in the Philippines).

All the best, Patch! 🇵🇭

Below are photos from the oath-taking ceremony of Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 Atty Patch Magtanong as a Lawyer at the PICC Plenary Hall in Pasay City. She was accompanied by her beloved family members to the event.

Once more, big congratulations to you Attorney!
Tomorrow, June 13, Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 Bea Patricia “Patch” Magtanong will be taking her oath as Lawyer at the Supreme Court. This will complete her 1-2 punch of significant achievements all throughout the national competition when she first passed the Bar Examinations last May 3 and then became the successor of Miss International 2018 1st Runner-Up Ahtisa Manalo last Sunday.
Patch has come a long way from the very first time that she was scouted for pageantry. She already laid her plans then – finish law school first, review and then take the bar exams before plunging into full-time training for Bb. Pilipinas. It wasn’t an easy transformation for someone like her who is more at ease with the predominantly intellectual demands of becoming a Lawyer than the required overhaul of her dressing style, learning how to do her own makeup, adjusting the way she would speak in public and walking on heels like a future Beauty Queen.
But she hurdled all of that. And now, Patch is ready to commit the next 18 months of her life as Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 who is gearing up for the mission of winning the country’s 7th Miss International crown.
Patch is ready to start with the new chapter. Once the oath-taking is over and done with, she will buckle up for intensive training as a national titleholder. And gradually learn Nihongo (日本語) in time for the 59th Miss International in Tokyo, Japan this coming November 12.
Your #Binibini17 Patch Magtanong – now Attorney Bea Patricia DG Magtanong – just successfully passed the Bar Exams and poses above with her idol of a dad who is also a Lawyer.
