Yesterday was her official sendoff presided by National Director Arnold Vegafria of the Miss World Philippines Organization.
And today, she is scheduled to depart for New Delhi, India to represent the country in Miss Multinational 2018/2019.
Miss Multinational Philippines 2018 Kimi Mugford is looking at scoring a back-to-back win in the competition with Sophia Senoron being the reigning titleholder.
Kimi will be wearing a Cary Santiago number for the finals plus a Patrick Starr creation for her National Costume (inspired by the Province of Benguet).
This articulate young lady of 18 admits that her training was tough, but committed her 100% to everything. Gone are her hockey-playing tomboyish ways back in Ontario. In place now is a transformed lady who has so much pride in wearing the Philippine sash abroad.
Best of luck in the journey and do us proud, Kimi!
“…Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory. If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride – and never quit, you’ll be a winner. Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory…” – Menachem Begin
Let us send our prayers and positive wishes for #MrSupranationalPhilippines2018 Marco Poli as he departs today for Poland to represent the country in Mister Supranational 2018.
Give it your best and do the country proud! 🇵🇭💪🏻
At the Patricia Hall of Annabel’s Restaurant earlier, Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez was given her proper send-off to Miss World 2018 before departing for Sanya, China via Guangzhou this coming Saturday at 2:30am.
Attending the event are National Director Arnold Vegafria, General Manager Bessie Besana, Miss Eco International Philippines Maureen Montagne, Miss Multinational Philippines Kimi Mugford and 1st Princess Chanel Morales. Also joining the panel are Katja’s beloved grandparents Jack and Sonia who gave heartfelt wishes for their granddaughter.
When asked about facial comparisons to former Miss World titleholder Priyanka Chopra, Katja has this to say:
From all of us here at normannorman.com, best wishes for a successful mission in Miss World 2018!
This coming weekend, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez will be departing for Sta. Cruz, Bolivia via NYC to represent the Philippines in Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 where she will have the challenging task of going for a back-to-back win in the international tilt since the reigning titleholder is Teresita Ssen Marquez. She was in high spirits all throughout the sendoff hosted by National Director Arnold Vegafria and Miss World Philippines General Manager Bessie Besana at Annabel’s Restaurant.
Aside from advocating to promote the Hispanic culture during the actual period of beauty battle (and hopefully longer if she wins the crown for the Philippines once more), Alyssa will continue to support her Gentle Hands Inc. – an organization that helps improve the lives of children who come from situations of crisis, trauma and abuse.
Alyssa was joined in the sendoff by two of her “sisters” – Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez and 1st Princess Chanel Morales.
Her National Costume will be executed by Maestro John, while Designer Benj Leguiab IV will be doing her competition evening gown once more.
Alyssa will be flying to Sta. Cruz, Bolivia by her lonesome, but remains undaunted by the long-haul flight segments because she will take those opportunities to get much-needed sleep. She has barely two weeks of preparation, after all.
She has brushed up on her conversational Spanish and has prepared a medley of Spanish songs to sing during the TV Presentation of the candidates as part of the pre-pageant activities.
From all of us here at normannorman.com, buenas suerte!
Yesterday’s Press Presentation of Miss World Philippines 2018 at the Vestibule Bar of Resorts World Manila was made more lively with the presence of fan groups who actively cheered for their favorites. Aside from a big turnout from members of the media, the supporters of popular joiners Katarina Rodriguez, Pearl Hung and Kim de Guzman were allowed entry. And it really made the proceedings even more unique as compared to the other national pageants.
National Director Arnold Vegafria even hinted during the open mic session that they are in negotiations for two (2) more international pageant franchise that would effectively raise the number of crowned winners to six (6). Between now and the first week of October, he stated that the new titles will be known through their social media page.
General Manager Bessie Besana proudly announced the talent qualifiers as well – Alyssa Alvarez, Danica Reynes, Angeline Santos, Kimi Mugford, Crystal Freedman, Rose Murphy and Paulina Labayo.
And as expected, the loudest cheers were reserved for Katarina Rodriguez who was visibly elated with the presence of her loyal support group.
Finals will be held at the MOA Arena on October 7. But before that date, the ladies will have several pre-pageant activities including a trip to El Nido, Palawan for the Swimsuit and Beach Beauty competitions, a Charity Gala where the Talent Finalists will perform and numerous public appearances for sponsors and the charity beneficiary of the organization.
