Arci Munoz: gearing herself up for MWP2012

Ramona Cecilia Munoz, aka Arci Munoz

Back when she was just 20 and still a talent of GMA-7, Ramona Cecilia Munoz (or Arci Munoz for those familiar with her works on TV) expressed her desire to take part in a beauty contest, preferably Bb. Pilipinas or Miss Philippines Earth. And why not? She stands 5’6″ and has a face beautiful enough to give the unknown pageant joiners a run for their money. However, a string of teleserye projects stalled her plans up until she decided to jump ship and move to TV5 where she was further tied down by a couple of lead appearances on dramas like “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak” and “Felina”.

Now 23, Arci has finally found the break to fulfill her dream of becoming a beauty queen. TV5 (and manager Annabelle Rama) greenlighted her permission to screen for Miss World Philippines 2012. Pageant Director Cory Quirino has also transferred networks and this facilitated the same. So just yesterday, she formally presented herself as one of the hopefuls to succeed Gwendoline Ruais.

Latest updates say that Arci has already made it as one of the 25 Official Candidates of MWP2012. The question is whether she has what it takes to win the whole thing. I’m pretty sure she will give Mary Ann Misa and Queenie Rehman a tough fight. Extensive showbiz exposure will be her biggest ace. But how far can she go and prove to all and sundry that the risk is all worth it.

Let’s see what Arci Munoz has in store for all pageant watchers as she vies for Miss World Philippines 2012! 😉

The refreshing trailers of GMA-7’S newest teleserye “Langit sa Piling Mo”

I’ve always had this fondness for international flight attendants with their fashionably crisp & tailored uniforms, strategically-positioned caps, and high-heeled gaits while pulling their travel-light luggages. So when GMA-7 started airing the trailer of their latest teleserye “Langit Sa Piling Mo” (Heaven In Your Arms or Heaven In Your Company), I watched it with much interest since the plot revolves around the life of a stewardess, the people around her and the ongoings inside the airport halls.

Here are the engaging trailers of the teleserye which will have its premiere on May 31 under GMA-7’s Telebabad primetime block:

Heart Evangelista stars in the lead together with a strong cast – Mark Herras, Tonton Gutierrez, JC Tiuseco, Daniel Matsunaga, Katrina Halili, Rey Abellana, Sheryl Cruz, Ryza Cenon, Maritoni Fernandez, Ricardo Cepeda, Joanne Santos, Jay Aquitania, Soliman Cruz, Arci Munoz, Sylvia Sanchez, Marky Lopez, Say Alonzo, Joey Paras, Evelyn Vargas and Joonee Gamboa.
