Last Thursday evening, the 26 Official Candidates of Miss International Queen Philippines 2021 were presented to members of the media in an event at the Aquila Crystal Palace Events Place in Tagaytay City. It definitely leveled up the holding of a national pageant for transgender Pinays in the country. National Director Michelle Montecarlo is committed to bringing the franchise to the glory it deserves. Together with her partners – Creative Director Roderic dela Cruz, Branding/Styling Head Justine Aliman and Supervising Producer Tei Endencia – she will give the inaugural effort the glitz and class we normally associate with its counterparts in female pageantry.

Among the contenders, there are several standouts who are showing why they should be the winner. Seven of them are Patricia Payumo, Minorka Mendoza, Stephie Venice Cabahug, Lars Pacheco, Anne Patricia Lorenzo, Sheila Magpale and Justin Mascariñas. Let’s see who will eventually rise up to the challenge and become the country’s bet to the next edition of Miss International Queen in Pattaya, Thailand next year.

It’s coming. And it’s gonna be BIG.

The first-ever country franchise for the Philippines of Miss International Queen Pageant is already here.

For the very first time and with the blessings of the pageant headquarters in Thailand, the country will proclaim an official representative for the annual international competition in Pattaya, hailed as the biggest pageant for transgender women around the world.

In the Press Conference held at AQUILA Crystal Palace Tagaytay Events Place, CEO/National Director Michelle Montecarlo is determined to bring back the crown last held in 2012 and 2015 by Kevin Balot and Trixie Maristela, respectively. Along with the respectable members of the Executive Committee that includes Honorary Adviser/Producer Jing Lumaban, Talent Development & Image Branding Head Andrea Justine Aliman and Creative Director Roderic Dela Cruz, Michelle will endeavor to stage a big inaugural national pageant that is scheduled to have its Pre-Pageant on November 18 and Finals Night on November 28.

#MissInternationalQueenPhilippines2021 will receive P300,000.00 in cash prize, P500,000.00 in gift packages, plus the MIQP crown designed by God diamonds and round-trip tickets to Bangkok. The First Runner-Up will get P100,000.00 in cash plus the same amount in gift packages, while the Second Runner-Up will be awarded with a P50,000.00 cash prize plus the same amount in gift packages.

To date, 224 applications have already been received. And by the looks of it, the number will increase even more before the deadline set for August 31. By the first half of September, only twenty-five (25) Official Candidates will be announced. They will vie to become the first titleholder of the organization.

The Coronation Night – barring any extended restrictions by the government and IATF – will be held LIVE at a surprise venue which will be announced in the coming weeks.

Watch out for more juicy details about the pageant soon. The theme for this edition – in keeping with the thrust of the Thailand-based organization – is #WorldEquality.
