It’s sad that, because of Binibini’s Golden Year, 50 stunning candidates were chosen where only three (or four) will be crowned. The quality of the ladies for 2013 are absolutely topnotch. And there will be a great amount of wastage after the coronation night come April. BPCI had better come up with a spectacular finals or else… 😉
Anyways, I decided to share my early favorites among them. Mind you, it wasn’t easy at all. Hence, I decided to pick just eight that struck me so far, although there were a lot more who did.
In this ‘subject-to-change’ order, they are:
Ria Rabajante –
Talk about standing out. This girl knows how to sizzle amidst a sea of beauties. When she decided to go one-piece during the final screening, nobody complained. And what a killer swimwear! One thing I can say is that Ria must have aced her master class in styling and projection.
Pia Wurtzbach –
Definitely the best among the Aces & Queens’ line-up for 2013, Pia sparkles effortlessly. You can use an assortment of adjectives to describe her – from utterly beautiful to adorably charming to, quite simply, arrestingly queenly. One look at her and your eyes get fixed. Her winning smile commands that you stare at her even more.
Charmaine Elima –
The benchmark of Kagandahang Flores for this batch, Charmaine shines with a classic face that will never go unnoticed. Even my Thai friends are mesmerized by her beauty. She may still be a work-in-progress in terms of elegance and refined spontaneity, but I bet she’s moving along quite nicely as per her mentor’s standards.
Anna Fernandina Buquid –
At virtually 6 feet tall, Anna is unmissable. Her long legs and torso are the kind of body features any aspiring beauty queen can only dream of. While she may not be as drop-dead gorgeous as Ria, Pia and Charmaine, she has her own brand of attraction that locks your attention the moment she glides and poses onstage. And one of my readers’ description is right. She definitely has the Pacific Islander aura that is not commonly seen among international pageant joiners mowadays.
Ariella Arida –
Ara has such a poised bearing that, coupled with long straight locks, invites any audience member to nod and send her straight to the next level of competition. She has a quiet impact at first. But can turn deadly the next.
Cassandra Naidas –
People keep on saying that Cassy is just your typical Korean-looking contestant who may not be strong enough to go head-to-head with the prettier ladies-in-waiting. But at 5’10” and with stage movements and class that can rival that of Ria’s, she is not about to get dismissed too easily. She is capable of impressing the doubters much more than what they give her credit for.
Amanda Navasero –
Pictures (of the un-photoshopped kind) don’t lie. The Navasero girl glows. And this early, Mandie could be a spoiler-in-the-making. She has this sweetly fresh mix that grows on you. Suffice it to say that I want to see more of her in action. I already know that she can express herself well. So I’m giving her the chance to prove that she is deserving of becoming a staple favorite in this edition.
Abby Monderin –
I actually even surprised myself a bit after realizing that Abby is already climbing fast on my personal list. She has a knockout body. But more than that, she has an ever-smiling face that captivates. True, there is a Daisy Reyes semblance to her visage, which is not a bad thing at all. And if you add the kind of wholesome sensuality she projects, there’s no wonder if she gradually makes the unbelievers converts as well.
Okay, dear readers. Everything here is preliminary. Changes are still bound to happen in the next seven weeks.
But for now, I’m definitely keeping a queer eye on this filtered group of eight. 😉
