I am a true-blue dog lover. I am the type of master who showers my canine with all the love he/she deserves. There’s really no reason not to because dogs give a purer type of unconditional love. My late dog Fletcher (who succumbed to a mysterious kidney & liver ailment last year) is a perfect example of one. He loves me to no end and demonstrates such in the most adorables ways and means.

My late dog, Fletcher. I still miss him so much!
If I were a rich man, I would build a huge dog wonderland where all the abused and unloved canines around the world will be taken care of. But a rich man I am not, so the next best thing is to look at charitable groups whose causes parallel the same. This is where Animal Kingdom Foundation Inc. enters the picture.
In their website, the group is described as follows:

Animal Kingdom Foundation Inc.'s latest campaign against greyhound racing.
Animal Kingdom Foundation Inc. is the local affiliate of the International Wildlife Coalition Trust (IWCT) based in the United Kingdom. AKF’s mission is to support, protect and promote welfare and the rights of animals; to eliminate the practice of illegal slaughter of dogs for human consumption and to introduce legislations or amendments in the existing animal-welfare laws of the Philippines.
It breaks my heart to see dogs getting maltreated, let alone being abandoned and unloved. So if you are in the market for dog adoption, get in touch with AKF. They have a big rescue center in Capas, Tarlac which you can visit after coordinating with their office in Makati City. Alternatively, you can give monetary donations which will go to the upkeep of the place or as sponsor to a particular dog that you want to adopt but do not have the time and place to physically do so.

You can also check out their souvenir store where you can buy advocacy T-shirts that spread the message.
It really doesn’t take that much to help these rescued and abandoned dogs. If you happen to have a soft spot for them or simply find it important to help AKF’s cause, then do visit their site to know more.

The dogs at AKF will be thankful for whatever help you can share with them.
