For all the beautiful and shapely ladies out there! Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines Pageant 2016 will have its Manila screening this coming April 1, 2016 at the Manila Diamond Hotel.

You could follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner Ma. Fatima “Tim” Alsowyed or her runners-up Angelu Gonzales and Nicole Dichoso who went on to win nice prize packages (including cash) and took in a string of career-boosting opportunities along the way.

nereku In what could be described as one of the big city’s most eagerly-awaited fashion events of the year, Nereku Manila unveiled a runway show at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall last night that featured the shoe designer’s divine footwear collection infused with the creations of some of our popular local and international designers. If that’s not enough, an exhibit was simultaneously inaugurated – which will be open to the public starting today till tomorrow, June 20 – where his more interesting and talk-worthy pieces are on display for everyone to see, appreciate and rave about.

It was a glittery night alright with the participation of the likes of Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa, International model and Mr. World Philippines 2015 Sam Ajdani, Miss Philippines Earth 2013 & Miss Multiverse Philippines 2015 Angelee delos Reyes, Miss Intercontinental Czech Republic 2014 Lenka Josefiova, Mutya ng Pilipinas Eva Patalinjug, Miss Bikini Philippines 2014 Hazel Ortiz, Mr. International Philippines 2013 Gil Wagas Jr, Mr. Global Philippines 2014 Joseph Doruelo, Mister United Continents Philippines 2015 Reynaldo Cataluna III, Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 1st Runner-Up Angelu Gonzales, plus professional runway models Jinlyn Talacod and Aaron de Tomasso. The designer himself was so happy with the successful turnout of guests and supporters, inspite of the heavy traffic and the on-and-off rainshowers that could have delayed the start of the program proper. Happily, everything went on nearly as scheduled under the eagle-eyed supervision of the Director, Shandy Montecarlo Lim.

This is one #Shoesyal show indeed.

I happily shared with you my Top 5 Predictions yesterday and three (3) of them actually made it to the winning troika. Ma. Fatima ‘Tim’ Alsowyed snagged the title of Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts Manila last night. Her 1st Runner-Up is Angelu Gonzales, with Nicole Dichoso claiming 2nd Runner-Up.

Tim was crowned by last year’s winner Hazel Ortiz and will now be the face (and body) of Slimmers World. I will update you should she be fielded abroad for an international bikini competition abroad.

One of the beautiful and sexy ladies above will become this year’s Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 tonight!

mbp2015a1 Tonight at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila, Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines will be crowned by reigning winner Hazel Ortiz. From among the official candidates, I came up with just five (5) ladies I’d like to see take the title…hopefully. 😉

They are: Angelu Gonzales of SM Megamall, Nicole Dichoso of Subic, Ariz Encarnacion of Adriatico, Tim Alsowyed of Pasay Road and Angela Yagaya, also of Adriatico.

I’ll keep you posted on who will win tonight. 🙂

You only get to see this segment in bodybuilding competitions and the like (or out-of-the-box editorial shoots). Ordinary beauty pageants do not require their candidates to go into such mode. But this is where Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 carves a unique niche that puts it somewhere in between a beauty and bodybuilding contest – Creative Posing.

This is such a tricky proposition, I must say. Not only is the poser required to display how flexible her body is, she needs to look good and the least bit awkward in every move that she makes. Endless snapshots of media photographers can always catch an individual in odd positions or worse, an embarrassing curl or geometrical pause that achieved flat success.

This could be the longest minute or minute and a half for all the candidates of Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015. And the real pros when it comes to posing and stretching their arms, legs and look their best will score the highest points here.

One of my favorites for Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 is No. 22 Angelu Gonzales

All of 18 years and with a bright future in the pageant world is Angelu Gonzales who is Candidate No. 22 in the ongoing Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015. A Sophomore taking up BS Accountancy at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), she is a Dean’s Lister with several talents. This girl sings professionally, does part-time modeling, can play a mean game of table tennis and spends idle time with her Rubix Cube.

Angelu has a lot of potentials going to her advantage should she move on from this competition and try her luck in other beauty contest fronts. With a good height of 5’8″ complimented by enviable vital stats of 34-23-34, she can still train harder for the more big league of our nationals.

The country will never run out of beautiful Filipinas. They just keep on coming and, for most, pleasantly surprising us with their participation in the several beauty pageants that get hosted annually.

Take for example the twenty-nine (29) candidates of Slimmers World Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 who were presented to the media during a well-attended Press Presentation at the Diamond Hotel yesterday noon. While I wouldn’t exactly state that this is their best bumper crop of contenders, there are still more than a handful of easy standouts who can cruise to possible victory come May 21 finals at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila.
