Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino (pictured above) will crown her successor in Sanya, China on October 30, 2010…..
Eight days later, Miss International 2009 Anagabriela Espinoza (pictured below) will relinquish her title in Chengdu, China on November 7, 2010!
What a beautiful week (30 October – 7 November) that will be! 😉
Looks like Mexico is in a winning moment. After Anagabriela Espinoza won the Miss International 2009 title, here comes her compatriot grabbing the last fast-track ticket to the Miss World 2009 finals.
Perla Beltran was selected winner of the Miss World Top Model award and gained an automatic entry to the Top 15 on finals night December 12. The representatives of Vietnam and Martinique placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Do I smell another Mexican victory in a grand-slam pageant this year?
Anyways, there is one more fast-track event winner waiting to be announced, and that is for the Miss World Beauty With a Purpose.
Anagabriela Espinoza, 21, from Mexico was crowned Miss International 2009 a few hours ago at the Tennis International Hotel in Chengdu, China. She becomes the 2nd Mexican to win the same title after Priscilla Perales clinched her country’s first just two years back in 2007. Placing 1st Runner-Up is Miss Korea, while Miss United Kingdom rounded out the Top 3 by getting 2nd Runner-Up honors.
The 12 other delegates who made it to the Top 15 are Misses Brazil, Spain, Venezuela, Philippines, Cuba, Belgium, Belarus, Canada, Dominican Republic, Finland, Japan and Panama.
From Chengdu, China, the 49th Miss International 2009 will be crowned tonight. The 64 contestants vying for the crown are getting ready for the finals and are all excited to know who will be proclaimed the winner. Our very own Miss Philippines, Melody Gersbach, is a strong favorite to land in the Top 3 and might even get a good shot at taking it all the way.
Here are my 15 personal picks to place in the competition:
Laksmi Rodriguez of Venezuela
Melody Gersbach of the Philippines
Rayanne Morais of Brazil
Ksenia Hrabovskaya of Russia
Sona Skoncova of Slovakia
Melania Santiago of Spain
Cassandra D'Ermilio of Belgium
Yuka Nakayama of Japan
Mathilde Muller of France
Harshita Saxena of India
Anagabriela Espinoza of Mexico
Qian Wang of China
Angelika Jakubowska of Poland

Who will be the big winner tonight?
