These ladies have already passed the screenings for Miss Philippines Earth 2014.
Patrixia from 2010 is also joining MPE2014
Miss Philippines Earth 2014 is looking more and more like a battle of crossovers.
This early, five (5) alumni of Bb. Pilipinas have already enlisted and passed the initial screenings for the competition.
There is Mary Anne Ross Misa – the ‘every-other-year’ joiner – who is making the jump from Bb. Pilipinas 2010 to MPE2014 via Miss World Philippines 2012. She could be Makati City’s bet.
In the same 2010 batch is Patrixia Sherly Santos who is being tagged to represent Albay in MPE2014.
Monique Manuel of Dinalupihan, Bataan is next. She took part in Bb. Pilipinas 2011, kept low profile for more than a few years and has now resurfaced for MPE2014.
And then two of last year’s Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas Gold are also in. Team JDV’s Rose Pujanes of Batangas and Kagandahang Flores’ Ana Carmela Aquino of Taytay are already in place to join MPE2014.

Which familiar names and faces will be taking the leap next? 😉
Valiry, Matet, Carmela and Bence are always appearing without funfare. Let's give them their day in the spotlight.
No fancy write-up for this group.
I simply want to feature Val, Matet, Carmela and Bence as they have been lacking in equal opportunity exposure in the pageant so far.
Val is deliciously tall, Matet is scrumptiously articulate, Carmela is delectably sensual and Bence is flavorful and all. What seems to be missing?
Strong competitors? Lack of forward moves? I don’t want to think that they are being a wee bit complacent. One of them might just place in the semis to surprise us all…or not.
In this quartet, Matet might qualify for the first cut. But I might end up biting my tongue if I push it even further. Oh well, let’s just be happy for them. After all, they belong to the golden batch of Bb. Pilipinas 2013. 😉

In continuation of our Work It Out post featuring the photographs of Boyet Blas shot during the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Official Candidates’ day at Gold’s Gym, we can see ‘Fitness Trainer to the Beauty Queens’ John Cuay taking charge of the workout. The ladies got a taste of his training style and the eventual winners will definitely get more one-on-one sessions with him.
Let’s see who will be privileged enough to be shaped and sculpted by John after April 14. Aces & Queens winner or otherwise, he will give the titleholders the best fitness training possible. 😉

“A picture is worth a thousand words“, the popular saying goes. But if you look at the group photo of Kagandahang Flores ladies Hannah Ruth Sison, Ana Carmela Aquino, Matet Gorgonio, Charmaine Elima and Herlie Kim Artugue above (taken before their individual photoshoots), you won’t need to consult a dictionary or thesaurus to pick the most outstanding face among the five.
I can come up with a plethora of wonderful words for Charmaine with this shot alone. (Photo credit: Jonas Yu/Critical Beauty)
Without a doubt, Charmaine Elima stands head and shoulders above the rest of her camp sisters. She possesses an oh-so-beautiful and radiant look that can stand the test of competition. And she seems to be steadily improving by the day. I will definitely be following this young lady throughout the whole thing. 😉

This is just the beginning for the 50 Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2013. OPMB Worldwide chanced upon some of them upon arrival at Gateway in preparation for their first official photoshoot for the pageant. Their energies are brimming with excitement. I hope they can keep it up till the homestretch because it won’t be an easy trek to the finals. With all the scheduled activities and personal appearances, the last thing in their minds should be getting a good 8-hour sleep. 😉
