Ever since Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray was talked about as possibly joining Bb. Pilipinas 2018, not a few among those who are planning to sign up for the next edition felt a cold shiver in their spines. Some are saying that the highest title is almost a given for this beautiful and charming Fil-Aussie. And I have told colleagues that it would really be best for her to take part in a beauty contest with several titles at stake. That way, the other candidates won’t feel left out in the hunt for a crown.
What are your thoughts, dear readers?
In the meantime, enjoy her photos for Designer Leo Almodal with styling by Patrick Henry, HMUA Sharms de Castro and photography by Ahleks Fusilero.
Your #Binibini32 in her latest photoshoot with Ahleks Fusilero
With the April 30 Coronation Night of Bb. Pilipinas 2017 just under two weeks away, the question in most pageant watchers’ minds right now is “Who among them is starting to peak in the competition?
“. Might I suggest your #Binibini32 Charmaine Elima as having one of the carefully-planned strategies for the nationals? Even if some people are saying that she is not soaring high enough right after the Press Presentation last March 22, I can say that she is steadily moving up the ranks and with essential noise-making turns defining her moves so far. The “La Reina Emperatriz” National Costume (created by Pablo Mendez III
) that wowed everyone during the photo exhibit is one such moment. She actually amazed even Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta and her “saintly” face registered well on the BPCI Chair. Trust her that the NatCos Competition this week will see her come out with such awe-inspiring presence.
And now this Ahleks Fusilero photoshoot which brought together the group of Stylist Patrick Henry of Ton Lao Styling Team, Make-Up Artist Mary Letim and Hair Expert Marky Buenaobra with Designer Rian Fernandez, Accessories Designer Christopher Munar and shoemaker Jojo Bragais. She is visibly inspired in the shots and is more than ready to slay the onslaught of opponents coming her way.
What is Charmaine Elima’s standing on your scoresheets, dear readers?
Now I ask you, dear readers. Where is #Binibini32 Charmaine Elima standing on your personal scoresheets right now? How are you assessing her gameplan so far? And what title do you think she deserves to win the most?
Let’s start the discussion, shall we? 🙂

Alaiza Malinao models T’nalak by Bragais™ (Photo by Ahleks Fusilero)
My favorite shoemaker – Jojo Bragais – has just released his latest non-pageant heel creation. This time around, he utilized his creative mind to come up with footwear called T’nalak by Bragais™ – using the indigenous fabric from Mindanao – and pairing it with suede to come up with a boots-like creation that is definitely both unique and eye-catching.
Alaiza Malinao has been tapped to be one of the two main models for T’nalak by Bragais™. And you need to watch out for the photos of Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray as well. Both ladies were photographed by ace lensman Ahleks Fusilero.

Mr Gay World Philippines 2016 John Raspado in his latest photoshoot with Ahleks Fusilero
Kudos to the Mr Gay World Philippines Organization for collaborating with ace photographer Ahleks Fusilero in coming up with the theme for the latest photoshoot of Mr Gay World Philippines 2016 John Raspado with that very red carnation (national flower of Spain
) covering his lower body. This is to start drumming up support for the upcoming Mr Gay World 2017 finals which will be held in Madrid and Maspalomas from May 5-10.
John is eyeing the big prize. And he wants nothing more than to bring home the Mr Gay World crown and be the first Filipino (and Asian) to actually win the honor. Kagandahang Flores is in-charge of his pageant training and preparations no less.
For more updates on the annual contest and to be on the loop for information as to how to support John in Mr Gay World 2017, keep on checking the FB page of Mr Gay World Philippines Organization.

With very adorable and good-looking tykes/siblings Mishka and Nicole Baylosis modeling for the new collection of Jojo Bragais, you cannot help but also look at the eye-catching pairs of footwear that they are wearing. Simply must-haves for the young ones!
If you are interested to get a pair of Bragais™ Kids for your kids, nephews, nieces or anybody young and special, then you know the drill. Jojo Bragais is ready to take your orders when you are. Act now because the queue is filling up fast. You don’t want to receive them after the Holidays right? 😉

Mister Model International 2016 will be held in New Delhi, India on November 20
Mister Model International Philippines 2016 – from Gentlemen of the Philippines – Job Piamonte Abogado is the next male titleholder to compete after Mister Universal Ambassador 2016 2nd Runner-Up and now Mister Southeast Asia International 2016 Andrea Biondo.
The 25 year-old native of Cabusao, Camarines Sur stands 6’1″ and is oozing with a lot of exotic appeal – curly hair or not. He has previous modeling stints on the ramp and has parlayed these skills in the national male competition to earn the ticket to New Delhi, India where Mister Model International 2016 will have its finals night on November 20.
At the moment, he has been steadily doing his fitness routines in the gym and training on public relations and Q&A (with yours truly). Of course, Belmeré Skin Center has been taking care of his skin but we advised him not to get any fairer than his current skin tone so that he will stand out in the bigger challenge up ahead.

Best of luck, Job (who I fondly call “anak”)! You will definitely make us proud in Mister Model International 2016! 😉
