Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal Urrea has one of the bumpiest journeys on the road to the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her ascent to the crown is one for the books as it is replete with ups and downs that only a strong-willed Queen is capable of undergoing.
I will quote Wikipedia on the events prior to the present:
Aristizábal began her pageantry career in 2019, after being crowned Miss Quindío 2019. This title gave her entry into the Señorita Colombia 2019 competition, representing Quindío Department.
The competition began in November 2019, held in Cartagena. In pre-pageant activities, Aristizábal emerged as a frontrunner after winning a number of special awards, including Queen of the Police and Best Body.
Finals night was ultimately held on 11 November. Aristizábal made the first cut into the top ten, and then continued into the top five. She was ultimately crowned Miss Colombia 2020 by outgoing titleholder Gabriela Tafur, becoming the first woman from Quindío Department to win the title, besting first runner-up María Alejandra Salazar of Huila Department. As Miss Colombia, she was to represent Colombia at Miss Universe 2020. In June 2020, Natalie Ackermann gained ownership of the Colombian franchise to Miss Universe, confirming that a new pageant would be held to select the Colombian representative in 2020, and that Aristizábal would not be going to Miss Universe.
After finishing her reign as Miss Colombia, she began talks to be appointed as Miss Universe Colombia 2022. After reaching an agreement, she was announced on 6 April 2022 as Colombia’s representative at Miss Universe 2022 through a press conference…
Mafe would not be where she is right now if not for the persistence or determination to land the rightful national crown of Miss Universe Colombia. This lady is definitely a fighter.
All candidate arrivals begin tomorrow 1/4/23 … I hope there is sufficient security in dangerous NOLA !
Mukang bakla tignan na walang dugo😂 vampire look
Semifinalist is her most possible placement
Most possible? Poor English!!
tough 15.
Top 5 – highest placement for Colombia.
I don’t understand … what or who is NN ?
Just based on the makeup tutorial, she could be one of my most favorite MU Colombia next to Andrea Tovar and Paulina Vega. She looks more natural with a darker hair. ❤️
As for Celeste, if the panel saw nothing special in her, she could end up like Gazini or Rabiya.
She should easily end up like Amanda Obdam. Between a Rabiya & a Bea Luigi. Not bad!
Xenophobia ang advocacy ni Celeste, rather to be against it… It’s universal & there’s no reason it shouldn’t resonate in NOLA. Let’s put it this way : once the New Ownership holds full sway, & we know how unforgiving they can be/get when it comes to the bare minimum of being proficient in their native tongue, MUPO can no longer afford to crown another Ms. Cortesi type. Kaya, lubusin na nila ‘to!
I have nothing against her; I was among those who egged early on she be allowed to give Nationals another go after all the flak from botulinum injections & a really-discrete-tattoo-come-on-guys-please-be-reasonable/sensible.
Tutto, tutto! ❤

I saw the 1st Pick of a pageant vlogger last night… For MW. Apparently, NN will go there if she fails to bag the Force for Good… If so, she’ll be up against Clemence Botino, ka-batch ni Bea last year sa Eilat (tama, no?). I’D RATHER NN NOT PLACE AT MU NOW.
Tell TELEMUNDO if they’re bent on advancing the Latin American beauty ideal of the tanned Teutonic ‘Ipanema vision’, ngayon na nila gawin. They’re spoiled for choice here – Peru, Colombia (subject of this post), Chile, Guatemala, Spain, Venezuela, & Portugal at least. Later this year when they’re no longer in the picture (literally & figuratively) as I imagine JKN will have a different partner to access the pageantry audience in that part of the world, we could see a return to the ‘mulatta’ black india-ish, ‘yun’g tipo nu’ng 1st RU ni Valerie Hernandez (Punika was 2nd RU, right?). Or, is that ‘creole’, the genetic mix…?
R’Bonney should get through on pure performance. Yeah, she isn’t the prettiest, though.
(Ang nag-rehistro sa ‘kin’g Miss Colombia of late was that black DOLL who was sashed ‘Antioquia’ in 2020. And Maria Alejandra Vengoechea, the young Cindy Kurleto… Amor!)
I don’t understand … what or who is NN ?
Ndavi Nokeri.
Oh ok … she should start to get ready for MW
