The Continental Media Favorites as shot by Joy Arguil

Towards the end, the continental Media Favorites were announced during the Press Presentation of Miss Earth 2022 at the Cove Manila of Okada Manila. They are, as expected by many:
For Africa: Esther Oluwatosin Ajayi of Nigeria
For the Americas: Andrea Aguilera of Colombia
For Asia/Oceania: Sheridan Mortlock of Australia
For Europe: Merel Hendriksen of the Netherlands

As for my early personal favorites, I will share sixteen (16) ladies under my radar so far. Aside from the four (4) Darlings of the Press above, below are twelve more I will be keeping an eye on more closely. They are the delegates from the Philippines, Cuba, Belgium, Venezuela, Korea, USA, Thailand, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Kyrgyzstan, Austria and Belize.

Bubbling up for me are: Canada, Peru, South Sudan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The ladies will be touring the country this week, initially as one big troop in Zamboanga City before they segue to their divided groups thereafter.

Nigeria is getting all the attention but Zimbabwe is the real contender from Africa …
Zimbabwe is the real dark horse for the crown and a real possible spoiler …
Palestine’s features are very symetrical in a weird yet very attractive kind of way..
Ethiopia looks like a duskier version of Shamcey Supsup..
Belgium has a bit of Baby fats and yet striking up close
Thailand is not the prettiest.. but surprisingly speaks well… She ressembles Mutya Datul without make-up but with a bigger nose… I suspect that she’ll be the darkhorse of the competition..
My current Top 20 favorites in random order:
Colombia
Nigeria
Thailand
Australia
Netherlands
Dominican Republic
Cuba
Philippines
Vietnam
Ethiopia
India
Korea
Indonesia
Venezuela
Japan
Belgium
Kyrgyztan
Zimbabwe
Russia
USA
Im puting Palestine in 7th Place right under Dominican Republic… She looks very interesting.. I am weirdly drawn to her for some unknown reason…
I agree. I foresee the same. And they’re all deserving!
Reply ko ito kay miss tissa…
With the unprecedented number of delegation from Africa, the continent considered by scientists to be the birthplace of humankind, and until today the homeland to the most diverse of wild animal species, I would love to see an African reign in this ME edition aptly themed “ME loves fauna”. It’s time for ME to leave a footprint in Africa, a long held MW territory, and lately the locus of MU’s forays. The three biggest economies of Africa are South Africa, Nigeria and Angola. Note how the political economy of beauty pageants paved the way for MW and MU African winners to come from these countries.
ME is yet relatively unknown in Africa. An African win will be strategic.
Makes sense and Nigeria has sent a strong contender this year
Nigeria looks like a shoo-in to the crown. But I expect Ethiopia, Cabo Verde and Somalia to perform well. Ethiopia and Cabo Verde are one of the fastest growing economies on that side of the earth. Somalia, with all its political and economic woes, needs an image makeover that a first-ever beauty queen may bring. (By the way, she looks like the Somalia-born American lawmaker representing Minnesota. Hope she is as intellectually brilliant.)
Erratum: “… are two of the…”, not “… are one of the…”
I agree… Nigeria is a Shoo-in for the Crown…
It would be between Nigeria and Colombia…
Scorg, just to share. Karen ibasco during her reign traveled to Cabo Verde if I’m not mistaken or was it Reunion islands. Anyway me winners are actually very bongga when it comes to trips abroad di lang napupublic masyado.

I believe it’s time for Colombia to win the main crown after a couple of elementals previously but I would love to see The Netherlands or Nigeria to win.
Perhaps Australia would be Air
Mukha nmang masaya mga girls…its a battle between Colombia and Australia
AUSTRALIA IS THE CANDIDATE TO BEAT IN THIS YEAR’S MISS EARTH
I got 10 out of your top 16.
I just based my first choices from the photos in the previous post.
As the pageant goes by, of course there will be changes.
At this early, I can feel that the winner will come from the 4 darlings.
Australia 🇦🇺
Netherlands 🇳🇱
Colombia 🇨🇴
Nigeria 🇳🇬
