After months of waiting, Shanon Tampon is finally leaving for Egypt to compete in the Miss Elite pageant. Earlier, a send off was held in her honor at the Penthouse of Vista-Shaw Residences in Mandaluyong City.
Officially crowned as Miss Elite Philippines 2022 a few months ago, Tampon and her team has since been busy in preparation for her international competition.
“We literally moved mountains to make sure that the first Philippine candidate to the Miss Elite pageant is well-prepared”, said Kenley Filarca – Miss Elite Philippine Creative Director. “Her preparation and participation would not be possible without the help and guidance of ProMedia“, added Filarca.
“The fruition of all the planning will be known soon as Shanon’s journey in Miss Elite is about to start and we at Promedia will always support our athletes in all their endeavors“, told ProMedia CEO Mr. Paul Izon Reyes to the pageant media who attended the press conference. He was joined by Ms. Jeremy Joy Aquino, also one of the ProMedia Executives and the owner of Belle Salon, together with Rodgil Flores of KF and Mr. Ferdinand Galdones Abejon – Miss Elite and Miss Elite Philippines – Director of Communications.

“I’m ecstatic to finally start my journey to the Miss Elite crown”, exclaimed Shanon as she answers questions from the pageant media. “Super grateful to my Team especially Sir Ken and to Promedia for their unending support. Also to all the designers who helped us. For the National Costume, I will showcase the creation of Sir Michael Barrasi and Ms. Cathy Capistrano designed by competition gown”.
Tampon, from Caloocan City, is an entrepreneur and an advocate against animal cruelty. She is no stranger to beauty pageants as she had participated in local and national competitions. She was crowned Miss Caloocan 2019, placed runner-up in Miss Philippines Earth 2019, finalist at Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 and recently competed in Binibining Pilipinas 2020/2021 pageant. Shanon is one of the athletes under the management of ProMedia.
The second edition of Miss Elite pageant is scheduled to take place from June 3-12, 2022 at Somabay Luxury Resorts, Red Sea, Hurghuda, Egypt. Organized by Stefano Douaihy, the Miss Elite competition aims to be one of the top beauty competition around the globe in few years time. About 50+ countries are expected to compete for the crown. Mexico’s Fernanda Pumar is the reigning winner.

If R.Flores/KF is handling her pageant journey and it is “not” Miss Universe, then she has a good chance of winning or a high placement.
