It’s nearly #Christmas, even if I don’t feel the good old festive atmosphere that comes with it. Let’s not forget, though, that the Holiday Season is not being celebrated in our honor, but in His Name. Find the joy in your hearts and share the love with your family and friends.

Let us spread happiness in whatever way that we all can.

    3 or 4 days ago ko Nakita. Last kung nabasa ay kahapon at nawala n nman now hihihihi. Nagtatanong lang po or sadyang outdated na tong phone ko😆

As we celebrate Christmas this year, let us not forget our brothers and sisters whose lives, homes, property, and livelihood are obliterated by the recent super typhoon, and who lost their jobs and even lives from this pandemic. In the light of all these sufferings, I cannot help but recall that Jesus Christ came to the world dirt poor that first Christmas, no decent room to deliver him by (in a smelly dirty manger!), nor a decent piece of garment to cover his frail body. And yet, the angels first heralded the good news of His coming to the shepherds, the dregs of society in those days! This is to me is the stark message of Christmas that I wish every avid celebrator of beauty ponders on: peace, hope and solidarity with those in the social margins.

      • @Cool Brew, thank you. Have a happy and meaningful Christmas, too, although it’s difficult to be happy in the midst of widespread suffering by our brothers and sisters. The pandemic is bad enough. A super typhoon is like a knock-out punch to the most vulnerable– the poor. When I saw the video clips of the poor gone homeless and livelihood-less, the realistic picture of the nativity scene flashed in my mind– a portrait of poor people (baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the lowest-of-the-low-in-social-strata shepherds) in a filthy smelly animal pen. Indeed Christ’s preferential option for the poor was heralded right on the very first Christmas.

  13. Pandemic, natural calamities, man-made disaster… There seems to be no end to woes that push the legendary Filipino resilience to the limits. This Christmas let us all thank God for carrying us and our loved ones through the tumultuous year still in good spirits and sound health. I pray that He continues to shower us strength to withstand life’s challenges and wisdom to meaningfully celebrate life’s beauty. Maligayang Pasko sa lahat!

  26. Have a Merry Laughter-Filled Christmas ! Laughter for any season !! We were blessed with a very best & healthy MU 70th edition this year and I am truly counting my blessings even though MW suffered a setback but Tracy is ready to go anytime (although March is such a long time, why can’t they have it late in January or early February ?)

    I hope that MU is back with 90+ delegates again next year and every year, and the diamond anniversary 2026 will be truly memorable (maybe in Pinas?). On Christmas morning, I will re-watch MU 2021 as well as my other favorite years … ( 2015, 2018, 1973, 1969, 1984, 1974, 1980, 1979, 1983 ) (the last four I love because of the scale of the grandness of the MU stage back in those years)
