  1. Such a lovely crown. So unique. I just wonder why they have a different crown for he intro video of the pageant.

  2. Congrats Maureen, you did it with class. 🧑 Pageant fans got served a valuable lesson: that crowns and titles aren’t served on a silver platter.✌🏼
All that tension and wait taught us that some patience and faith is worth having. Mme Stella, BPCI and Maureen worked hard for the crown. In turn, we have to value that just as much. πŸ‘‘πŸ’πŸ•ŠοΈ Wow, what a day! πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ‡΅πŸ‡βœ¨

  3. Maureen didn’t disappoint Manang Pilar.

Oh, my gosh. I forgot the source of the information again. 😦

(Is it possible I’m just seeing things? Uncle, please confirm with KF, po.)

Ano ba ‘yung para sa memory? Bacopa monniera? Help…!…

      • @ Norman Uncle, good Tue PM.

Cinderella is back. Maureen is still in Albania? The former seems to have not yet been formally received by BPCI/BBPO by way of a Press~Publicity event-of-some-sort. All I saw was a brief interview with some TV news channel. Is she being held ‘under wraps’ until the latter returns?

Kasi, alanganin~inconvenient kung uuwi muna si Cinderella sa MisOr, only to return once her co-BBP queen arrives. Is she staying at Novotel? I don’t know if the Araneta Center Christmas Tree is already lit, but back in 2016 Kylie finished up her Victory Parade there with Nicole Cordoves (with her Grand 1st RU trophy) & 4M. If Hannah & Sam 3.0 can join the festivity, the 2021 quartet will be complete again in public for the first time since guesting on Boy Abunda’s talk show. And will Meiji & Gabby be required to show up?

  4. Congratulations!… not so surprising since her caliber is a cut above the rest… I see a big future in her.

  5. I hope that Ruffa Nava wins her international beauty pageant !

(the almost’s winners earlier this year … Sam Bernardo , Dindi Pajares , Emmanuelle Vera , others? )

    • I always like to cheer for the underdog , and to me Ruffa Nava is an underdog , always underestimated, belittled but she will prove all of them wrong… !

  6. Two international crowns in a row! Maureen and Cindy, as well as all other Filipino international titlists, have one thing in common: confidence radiated by superior intelligence and admirable character. I think this is the competitive edge of Filipinos in international beauty contests. I just hope their respective international platforms will be avenues where their intellect and advocacy will shine for the betterment of the global society.

  7. Abs-cbn wrote: 2 crowns in 2 weekends. Wishing for more crowns this year, whether from minor or major pageants! Abante Pilipinas! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

  8. It is what is expected to happen if everything goes as planned … justice is served at the end , makes me feel ecstatic ! Hannah Arnold would have had a great chance to make this three out of three … !

    • I agree Hannah Arnold would have easily won MI2021 too.
By the way, I have read somewhere that Mi is now a defunct beauty pageant. Is this true?

  9. When friends ask why Philippine delegates are so dominant- and not in a Venezuela sort of way- my answer is that when Filipina aspirants train, they train like there’s only one crown (usually, Universe) and that the competition is not an individual effort, but a collective one.

So when queens like Faith Garcia, Dindi Pajares and Sam Bernardo, who otherwise would struggle to get crowns in what is perhaps the most competitive beauty market in the world get appointed to compete, you’re surprised to see how good they are. And we shouldn’t be because yes, they’re trained to put their best foot forward regardless of what pageant they end up competing in.

There are no 3rd rate pageants- only 3rd rate contestants.

And if you’re carrying the Philippine sash, ‘mahiya ka naman’ as our parents would say (that is, if you’re brought up properly lol), and that you should do your country proud by being gracious, respectful, kind and put together. No (ashy) elbows on the table pls. Chew your food slowly. Iron those wrinkles out of that skirt before you wear it. And smile, smile, smile like you mean it- and they do.

And it’s kinda comical to see the Miss Globe Organisation handle someone like Maureen- (I think they knew the moment she was crowned and when she landed in Albania, that she was The One)- and not give away the fact that she was the very obvious winner. Maureen practically dominated every challenge thrown her way that it was a marketing disaster had they allowed her to actually win them.

The social-media challenge was the perfect example with Filipinos rallying in the last 24 hours to get Maureen’s Insta followers to the top, which was achieved, and yet Germany (??) was declared the winner even if she had a paltry 2k! (my cat btw has 86K followers). And how the hell did Nigeria nab 1st runner-up????

    • I agree with everything you said except Nigeria.
Nigeria deserves her placement and she is very pretty too like Maureen.
If you rewatch the moments where the camera zoomed in at both of their faces, you will see what I mean. After the Q&A, I knew right away that Philippines and Nigeria will be the top 2.

      • @JustPassingBy: I agree with your view on Nigeria. When the Philippines and Nigeria were the last two standing by, despite the edge of the Philippines on her answer, it came across my mind that if the political economy of beauty pageants play out, the winner would be Nigeria. Global pageant organizations slowly inch their way to have a foothold on Africa, the next global economic boomtown. MS crowned Miss Namibia last month. MGI recently crowned a Miss Ghana who carried the Miss USA sash.

      • Scorg,
That idea crossed my mind too and made me nervous that Maureen would end up as 1st RU once again considering Nigeria has a given a solid answer as well.
By the way, are you the one who’s based is South Africa? Are you in Cape Town? Please send my regards to a good friend of mine Seth Shezi if you happen to know him. He is quite popular in the wine and fashion scene over there.

  10. Pursuing Bb Pil crown and letting go of the MEI crown which was given to her on a silver platter paid off. Congratulations again.

  11. Wow!!! Congrats Maureen, our 2nd Miss Globe… Thank you for taking back that crown to PH. Mabuhay Philippines!!!

    Miss Intercontinental 2021

  12. Maureen was:
    Mutya ng Pilipinas 2013 1st runner-up
    Miss Arizona USA 2015
    Miss USA 2015 Top 15
    Miss World America 2017 1st runner-up

    Miss Eco International 2019 1st runner-up
    Binibining Pilipinas The Globe 2021
    finally…
The Miss Globe 2021 crown titleholder

      • I know! Maureen started pageantry in 2013 and ended in 2021 with a bang!!!! This is a good Christmas present for her and her family as well as entire Philippines.

      • Obviously you’re a newbie here. Si pabyan, who else????? Lahat ng patimpalak sinalihan, ligwak lahat. Out of 11 contestants, 10 ang pasok sa banga sa semis, sya lang naligwak. Di mo ba napansin mga comments nya dito? Puno ng inggit!!!!! KAWAWA NGA…

  14. Wow. Philippines is on a roll. Maureen had played her cards right from the beginning until the end of the competetion. Congratulations.

  15. A well deserved victory indeed for Maureen ! Way to go ! The Philippines is on a roll ! Mabuhay ! Thank you for making us proud !

  16. Maureen’s own crown… finally.

What a fitting way to end her
    pageant journey. ❀️

  18. Along with luck, sending the right girl to the right pageant was the key.

With a deep bench, selecting the delegates for team PH requires careful deliberation and foresight.

BPCI played their cards right and won!

Congratulations to Cindy and Maureen, and to BPCI!

    • I agree. That crown is a bit different. Parang may pinagbabagayan. I felt the same way when Ann Colis was crowned.

Guys just to add si Anjame Magbitang ay isa ring tomboy/bisexual. Babae din ang jowa ni madam. Nakakaloka

      • @ Diana Hayden Kaya pala her ‘Cavite’ (?) NatCos at BBP was ‘rayadillo’ garb.

        MUP! Konsehala siya, no?

        KF. πŸ™‚

I am excited, as early as now, to know the camp’s line-up for 2022. Both Steffi & Rousanne are ‘high-bar’. If they can find someone who can combine the very best attributes of both, G!
