If the National Costume looks familiar, it’s because the ensemble was also worn by Maureen Wroblewitz (left photo) during Miss Universe Philippines 2021. This creation was shared by Designer Louis Pangilinan to Miss Filipinas Emmanuelle Vera for Reina Hispanoamericana 2021. This is a perfectly understandable move because our bet had barely two weeks of preparation for the pageant in Bolivia. Creating a new natcos from scratch would require a lot longer time than what can be possibly allowed.

    • @ Garga Emman is petite-ish. Maybe MUP 2022/3.

  2. I 100% agree that great natcos in the nationals (or even regional/provincial pageants) can be worn by candidates sent to international competitions.

    It is the designers’/makers’ prerogative and pride to have their creations on the international stage.

    I am proud of this move. Great costume for Emmanuele!

  5. Keribels lang! Wala namang bearing ang National Costume sa performance ng candidate diba? Sideshow lang siya!

    Maganda rin naman yang sinuot niya! The Headgear reminded me of the one worn by Reham Snow at Miss World!

  6. Pretty costume…. I wish her Singkil dance moves were more connected to her costume.. but not bad… I love her multi-lingual intro.

  7. Oh yes, it looks more relatable to RHA.
    The other national costumes had tribal or carnival-inspired themes. Some wore traditional Sevillanas, the flamenco dress.

  8. Sana lang yung natcos nya sa MWP na lang since hindi naman gaano na expose/exhibit yun during national pageant. Also yung movement nya hindi angkop sa damit, more on Mindanao tribe yung sayaw nya.
