Miss Universe Philippines 2021: The two new titles

The organization wants more queens to inspire you. Aside from the main title of Miss Universe Philippines, they have decided to add two (2) new titles – Miss Universe Philippines #Tourism and Miss Universe Philippines #Charity.

These two queens will not be competing in any international pageant, but should the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 be unable to fulfill her obligations the MUPH Tourism will takeover.

The promotion of tourism and involvement in charity are two pillars that the MUPH Organization champion. By having individual queens focused on these, they can further their cause.

  6. katrina winning the crown is ok..but all the while i thot, dyosa levels ang hanap nila..but then if we come to think of it, katrina has the effortless appeal of andrea meza..talk about being pageant veterans..kung si katrina lang din pala ang MUPOs choice simulat nagkita kita sila sa O skin care clinic, sana ina point na lang sya at di na nandamay pa ng ibang kandidata..haha katrina is actually endearing..malabaklita ika nga kaya patok sya sa older crowd..younger generation may go for mau… iwant to see maureen-steffi-and-katrina as the top 3.

    MUP: Dimaranan
    MUP-Tourism: Aberasturri
    This title suits her because of her vibrant personality
    MUP-Charity: Hipolito
    She is fit for this title because of her humble beginning as she was born to poor parents. She has a soft spot for the poor as she chose poverty as the greatest problem that needs immediate solution during the preliminary interview.
    First runner up: Umali
    2nd runner up: Velasquez

  12. MUP cannot make up its damn mind….. Stick with 4 runners up and assign a pseudo title na lang after their coronation just like last year. It does not need to be made official. I have a feeling may soap opera drama itong niluluto ang MUP this year… Baka naman si Katrina pananalunin then my issue at si Maureen ang replacement….hihihihiihi

    Or…. have they read my comment under Cindy’s post about DoT not having a pageant to seek their annual Tourism Ambassadress? hihihihi

  17. In any pageant, the first runner up should take over if the eventual winner cannot perform her duties and obligations. Yung Miss Philippines Tourism and Miss Philippines Charity are titles already kasehodang di sila magcocompete internationally. What if the Tourism winner failed to perform her duties? Si Charity ang hihilain at yung 1st runner will be the Charity and so on? Kaya nga binigyan ng title na Tourism dahil may kakayanan ang candidate na mag-promote ng turismo ng Pilipinas.
    But I agree with the suggestion of Thomas:
    Miss Universe Philippines
    1st Runner up and Miss Tourism Philippines
    2nd Runner up and Miss Charity Philippines
    3rd Runner up
    4th Runner up

      Pede naman ung minor labels post pageant. Ewan ko ba sa mga yan… ang gugulo! Kapag kinall-out mo, sasabihin support nalang… edi wow!

  21. Pathetic.

    MUP is unnecessarily complicating things that should have been simple. Showing how amateur they are in running a national pageant by coming up with their versions of pasabogs on the 11th hour.

    I don’t know what sorcery or money-making scheme this will yield. But I just smell vodka and desperation from the MUP camp. Lol.

    The FIRST runner up should always take over in case the winner fails to fulfill her obligations.

    The simple, logical and elegant solution (in case talagang gusto nila talaga ipasok ang tourism and charity ek ek na yan) would have been:

    Miss Universe Philippines
    First runner up & Miss Tourism
    Second runner up & Miss Charity
    Third runner up
    Fourth runner up

    Ganyan lang ka simple. They are watering down the value of what a first runner is, by creating so many shallow titles. I am guessing they are trying to appease some stakeholders who are betting on some girls by coming up with consuelo de bobo titles. Kung ano anong pillars ek ek ginagawa nyo. Add Pillar Pilapil, Pillar Mateo and Pepe & Pillar!!

  23. BAKIT ‘IN THE EVENT MUP 2021 WILL BE UNABLE TO FULFILL HER OBLIGATIONS’??!! Don’t tell us there’s a potentially ‘difficult’ issue/situation brewing in the horizon…?… Is there reason?

    At wala na nung ‘education’, ‘arts’, & ‘gender equality’…. Rallying point, harbinger of hope, etc…

    Mr. Tayag, every year mag-iiba ng Impressum? At titles? Or, did sponsors request it be like this?

    And what of the other brands in Mr. Gaffud’s portfolio – Charm, GLAM, & Supermodel Intl? Can’t the Runners-up be sent there? And when is Ashley SM competing?

    • It really doesn’t sound encouraging… Wala pang nananalo, ang bungad agad, ‘in the event….’.

      Nakoh. Palagay ko to, may issue sa mga AP’ng di pa nag-settle ng balanse.

      (Or, inter-AP politics is in progress. Talk about crunch time.)
