Last night was the first of a four-part series in getting to know Miss World Philippines 2021 Candidate Joy Barcoma with different members of the pageant media taking turns in guesting. I got assigned to the first batch, hence, the video I am sharing below.
This lady can be quite the engaging speaker. And she hopes to be one of those who can take a closer crack at the top crown of the national pageant.

Enough with the tweetums. Im tired with the trite and contrived answers. I need hardcore badass off the cuff responses. If you’re asked for a specific answer on who deserves to win, then go for the kill and just say, I have the beauty, the body and the brains and I don’t see any other reason why I shouldn’t get one of the crowns at stake. Or words to that effect.
Their answers are killing me. Too safe and too diplomatic… Just say it as it is honey. I want bloodbath.

4. Miss Eco Philippines – Kathleen Paton or Tracy Maureen Perez (Ind/A&Q)
5. Miss Eco Teen Philippines – Janelle Lewis/Natasha Jung/Dannah Tempra
6. Miss Multinational Philippines – Ganiel Krishnan or Joy Barcoma
7. Miss Environment Philippines – Asha Gutierrez or Anne de Mesa
8. Miss Tourism Philippines – Ganiel Krishnan/Mikaela Leonado/Dindi Pajares
Most likely 4-5 titles will be given to A&Q, 1-3 to KF & 1-2 to other camps/independents.
Of the 9 from A&Q, de Mesa, Pajares, Gutierrez, Dilla, & Perez are most anticipated to take home crowns.
From the KF Camp, Vera is the strongest. Other KF girls are expected to make it to the semis are Krishnan, Jung, Arceo, Famorcan, and Robles. I hope Nava will also make it to the semifinal rounds.
Very strong girls from other camps/teams or independents are Barcoma, Campbell, Lewis, Leonardo, and Paton. Any of these girls will make surprises in the pageant finals.

a pudgier version then,was one of those in the panel along with Nicole Cordovez,who got the chance to throw a Question on Cat.
I want Michelle Dee to represent us at Miss Universe this December.
I think it’s time for the Philippines to bring class, sophistication and glamour to the MU stage.

Is Joy from a powerful political family or something? She has an abnormally high amount of coverage on social media and on blogs. Like you’re all pushing her to win even though she’s average-looking at best. I find this icky.

Tito N, I’m confused du’n sa sagot niya sa tanong mo about simple question vs. politics of the day. Sabi niya, mahirap ang former kasi she can only speak for herself, ta’s mahirap din daw ‘yun’g latter kasi most folks don’t have a grasp of the issues… So, ano ba talaga mas hard for her? 😦
Then, ‘yun’g kay CJ Boado na tanong kung sino sa mga co-candidates ang deserving, sabi niya they are all in the same boat at equal in determination but then goes on to say that she is eager to show what she has to offer. Again, you should advise them to think on their feet more kasi lumalabas ang inconsistencies. Does she want to blend in, or to stand out?
