  1. checked on MGI fb page where Sam B’s introductory video was posted and it has already reached 30k likes and 5k shares….just shows how pageant fans love Sam B and approve that she deserves to bring home the first MGI crown for our country…Filipinos are really the best fans! Good luck Sam B! We are supporting you!!!

Feeling nila nasa first world country sila, gising gising mahirap na bansa lang tayo. Learn more to appreciate than to criticize.

    • I agree!!!

      • Tama.

  3. She sounds more relaxed, natural and fluent during her interview with Nicole. Sam is articulate. But somehow the video above sounds forced. Parang recitation.

She looks better with minimal make up. Heavy make up make her look like a young, prettier Giselle Sanchez. (And that is bad. Lol).

Yes. Irritating when “the” in The Philippines is lacking. Ladies, countries or places that end with the letter “s” usually have “The”. The Bahamas. The Netherlands. The Philippines. Exception is The Hague.

So you have to say, “Love from THE Philippines!”

    (The) World Peace. Lol.

    • to add to your broken analogy..

      The Gambia
      The Congo

does not end with a “S”.

I think what you are trying to say is use “the” if its grammatically necessary or to refer to a an geophysical entity. (The Philippines as its also known as The Philippine Islands same applies to the The Bahamas to The Bahama Islands, The Netherlands as “nether” refers to lower lands).

So not necessarily if it ends with “s” and when you say just “usually” does not give a definite point.

  4. With only 58 delegates, her chances to place in the top 20 is big. Her chances to win the crown depends on her performance – but we all know she deserves to win the title.

    • @ Abcde That was, I think, before Boss ALV snapped up the SupraFilipinas franchise and 2M was still widely touted as the presumptive BBP-GI… Perhaps out of deference to her KF sister, SamBer re-directed focus. If Angkol still likes 2M, she’ll have to win the title on 17 April.

  6. Samantha is very very pleasant. I hope that she gets the crown. Her essence is perfect grammar. Go Samatha! I believe that you will do well. Just a breath of fresh air that we need during this depressing Wuhan Virus period.

  7. Kulang kulang sya talaga sa prepositions pag nag Eenglish… pati yung “the” sa Philippines nakakalimutan… niway, sabagay… wala naman paki mga Thai dyan…pero kung ganda paguusapan e Shes our best rep at Miss Grand… Goodluck!

    • It might actually play to her advantage that her English isn’t perfect so Nawat doesn’t feel insecure…. hihihihihi

    • The absence of ‘the ‘ ?
It’s probably because she’s referring to Miss Philippines not the Philippines as a nation or country

      • Listen (watch) to it again!

She said “Love…” not from her (hence, not from Miss Philippines) but from the country, and should have said THE Philippines.

But am I going to say I don’t want her to win because of it, of course not! But let’s correct what needs to be corrected.

    • @ 4M (AH-hahahahhh…..)

Offering a sight to prove just how strong a woman can be for ___ Bht.

      🙂

(Hindi ko na lang sasabihin. Magagalit na naman si Admin. Sayang nga lang. SASABOG kayo sa tawa/tuwa.)
