Behold your #Binibini26 Czarina Guiao in her Bb. Pilipinas National Costume created by Ferdinand Macoy Elipane and Mr. Oplong Mejia Paras
The costume is entitled “DASE” which means banig in Tagalog and it is the main fabric material of my costume, this dase was meticulously handcrafted by the hardworking and creative hands of our Aeta brothers in Nabuclod Floridablanca, Pampanga.
Dase is also the main source of income and livelihood of our Aeta brothers that leads to my advocacy, welfare for indigenous people. The palay grains represent Pampanga’s fertile soil and our hardworking farmers which makes Pampanga an agriculture destination. The crown symbolizes the devotion and high spirituality of Pampanga’s patron saint, the miraculous Virgen De Los Remedios.
The red flowers are the usual offering of the Kapampangans to the patron’s guidance and abundance. This costume is dedicated to our Aeta brothers primarily living in Nabuclod Floridablanca, Pampanga. DASE… Developing Aetas Strength through Empowerment.
