Behold your #Binibini6 Princess Kien Guanzon of Occidental Mindoro in her Bb. Pilipinas National Costume created by Ranel Espaldon:
Pakudos
(Notes from the designer)
This masterpiece symbolizes the culture, tradition and livelihood of the Mangyan Tribe.
Mangyans are known for being hard working people. Vegetables and fruits are one of their main resources of livelihood. The long ruffled back tail of the national costune represents the waves of the sea where they also get their means of living. The details on the bodice shows the rich visual art of the Mangyan Tribe called PAKUDOS.
The PAKUDOS, believed to ward off evil spirits. Traditional MANGYAN Accessories are also incorporated in the national costume showing the craftsmanship and tradional culture of the MANGYAN Tribe.

ang usok…
pwede bang simplehan n lang.
By the time na maganap itong Binibini, wala nang title na available!
Nagcompete na si Rowee sa Miss Globe,
Mukhang may pinaghahandaan si Aya Abesamis with her pasarela training with Shandy!
Is it ideal for them to aim for a back2back?a
@ Closer2Fame At least, we already know who Stefhany is. 🙂
Costa Rica, Brazil, PR, and hopefully Aya will join MU 2018 2nd Runner-up in the Last 5.
I agree with all the commenters here.. Nalunod na ang costume ng smoke at dark lighting….
Bat hindi macriticize ng titisofpageantry itey….hihihihihi
Yes I agree naman na we should be thankful to them. Sila lang naman yung may paki to invest or start pageantry here in the 60s na time na creeping poverty pa ang pilipinas 😂. I hope MUP will last 50+ years too Pero Jonas is in his late 40s na or early 50s saan ipapasa?
Sayang! Muntik na makita yung costume
gampanan nila yang usok usok na ya ha hanggang coronation night na puro usok na lang makita sa stage. amateurish!
puro usok
Pag MUP to, mangunguna na naman ang Tita Lavinia to call them out for the poor execution. But since BPCI and kailangan sumipsip Kay Gines dedma sya. Lol!
True! Double standard ang merlat na yan! We should all be thankful daw to the Araneta Couple! TF!

trulala veks!!!! Kasi may galit yan sa Lola Jonas kasi ayaw talaga sya irecognize ni veks!!!! Ang lakas maka vad vlood ang brouhahah! hihihihi
Bakit ba pinatutuntong sa 1 foot platform?
I guess they conceptualized the entire shoot to make the Binibinis look larger than life
WTF!!.. Where’s the costume?
All i see are smoke, smoke, smoke….and mooore Smoke!!.. Ohhh, and before i forget..those are weird looking Pink Smoke,Fuschia Smoke,Lavender Smoke,
Ocean blue Smoke,Celurian blue Smoke, etc…etc…and the winner is!???.
.the LIGHTS,CAMERA & SMOKE DEPT!…with a lot of help from the Awesome Smoke Set Designer!! Clap! Clap! Clap!
Don’t know if it has been commented before, but i really don’t like the NatCos photoshoot series this year with the smoke thingyy. The smoke adds to the artistic taste of the photos but it basically just covers the natcos. Natcos is fine but This shot is one of the worse in the natcos series.
Not bad… not as impactful as I wanted…
Not a fan of the fluffy ruffled sleeves… I like that tribal pattern is rhinestoned.. nothing remarkable…
7.2 stars
@ Closer2Fame For me, po, sleeve is OK… It’s the train, again.”Ruffled back tail” in the Brief.
Designer probably was going for the mermaid silhouette, got over-excited with the idea of using ruffles to depict the sea, and went berserk. 🙂
I think a ruffled long skirt would have sufficed. Just cut the tail off straight away! Tipid pa sa tela.
