Looks like it’s going to be a busy weekend ahead for me with online panel discussions about pageantry and more.
This coming Saturday, May 23 at 4:00PM, get ready for the Quezon Pageant Powerhouse (QPP) Forum – a live online discussion where the first topic will aptly be:
“Embracing the New Normal in Pageantry”
Join me along with Miss Galaxy Philippines 2019 Ma Andrea Endicio and Bb. Niyogyugan 2019 Top 10 Finalist and Founder of ABYSS Gwyneth Abarquez. Ginoo at Binibining Candelaria Creative and Marketing Director Yam Arellano will host/moderate the exciting exchange of ideas.
Mark the date.
And on the day after – Sunday, May 24 at 2:00PM on the Facebook page of José Rizal University – another forum via Zoom cloud meetings will happen along with some esteemed personalities.
“The Promise of A Beauty Queen: Purpose. Substance. Inspiration.”
I will be sharing the spotlight with national beauty queens Emma Tiglao and Janelle Tee, the reigning Miss Mandaluyong Roni Meneses, Life Coach Ma Romina Gemini Brion Zabala, Q&A Coach Dr. Jace Chiong and Rodgil Flores of Kagandahang Flores.
Backgrounder: The societal disruptions due to COVID-19 can take a toll on mental health. Some are better equipped to cope than others and some need a little boost. We got you.

Despite the constraints imposed by this pandemic, pageantry pulsates with life through online discussions like this. Congratulations to the forward- looking organizers who could see opportunities in threats and overcome weaknesses by focusing on strengths. There is indeed a need to explore the utilitarian raison d’etre of pageantry, so that it does not stagnate in the dustbin of archaic hedonistic concepts
Not trying to sound heretic , just wondering what this on line forum can offer that Korona has not
I mean the response to Korona has been lukewarm to put it mildly
And yet another pageant forum online ? Don’t get me wrong . I’m looking forward to watching you on Saturday .
I hope your mileage In the industry continues to grow with this new project
The perspective of an older person to the topic, perhaps?
Sir Norman, your contribution is the perspective of an enlightened pageant specialist who has the wisdom and objectivity of his generational affiliation (Gen X or Gen Boomer?) but with the mindset, drive, and stamina of a Gen Y and Gen Z. You are one of the movers and drivers of the development of pageantry. We appreciate your tireless pursuit of your vision and mission for pageantry industry.
Thank you so much for such a vivid and heart-warming description scorg!
