Samantha Bernardo is on her third and final try in Bb. Pilipinas to get over the runner-up hump and prove herself crown-worthy enough to win a much-anticipated title so she can finally represent the country internationally. This Palaweña has done more than enough in her two previous attempts. And I personally believe that she could have managed a top podium finish last year. She may not be the best speaker among the Binibinis, but she can still carry her answers to completion and complete the entire puzzle that will make her a Queen. As I have mentioned in passing prior, she would have been a worthy representative to Miss Supranational 2019 had she not been pitted against Resham Saeed whose Q&A answer was scored more solidly by the judges.
This year, Sam is not without worthy adversaries. But I feel that she can mount her best game plan yet. Instead of overdoing all aspects in her preparations, she should come across as the more mature and reliable Binibini who can prove to be an asset for BPCI. And in this time when our favorite national beauty pageant needs the all-out support from everyone, having winners who will expertly protect and sustain the brand is a must.
This is where Sam (or Vickie Rushton for that matter) can fill in the void left by the departure of the Miss Universe Philippines title in the roster of crowns.
“… the void left by the departure of MUP….”
AR—OUCH! Matutuwa ang kabila’ng selda, niyan.
🙂
Ang ganda ni Sam sa pre-pageant, pero pagdating ng Coronation Night, di mo maintindihan bakit ganun styling niya. Nagpatalo sa kanya last year yung pangit na make-up niya. Yung blush-on niya sobrang mapakal, parang sinampal siya backstage.
If she wants to win, dapat yung malinis lang na styling, straight or beach curls, itapon na yung pageant curls. Also, sana di na siya magmemorize. Sobrang halata kasi na saulo mga sagot niya.
the glamorous made-up amazona that was Sam Bernardo of BBP2018 was the perfect packaging for her. I’m not sure if I’m a fan of this clean fresh look that she is trying to push these days with the straight hair and (too) simple eye
makeup. Give the people drama!!!
I agree .. MGI definitely!
MI: Vicky Rushton/Gab Basiano/Hannah Arnold
MS: Honey Cartasano/ Sam Bernardo
MIC: Hannah Arnold/ Maureen Montaigne/ Honey Cartasano/Vicky Rushton
MG: Gab Basiano/Hannah Arnold/ Samantha Bernanedo
MGI: Maureen Montaigne/ Gab Basiano/Samantha Bernardo
1st RUp:Patricia Babista
@ Closer2Fame You said “MGI, definitely”. But Sam herself said on TV that she wants Supranational.
Allow me to “tighten up” your selection. 🙂
BBP-International > Vickie (‘eto naman talaga gusto mo, ‘eh. Nahiya ka pa. Hihihih….)
BBP-Supranational > Honey (tell Paolo Ballesteros to train her for SupraChat by having chats with her on anything under the sun)
BBP-Intercontinental > Hannah
BBP-Globe > Maureen
BBP-Grand International > Sam
1st RUp – Pat
2nd RUp – Gab (your placing her on polar ends of your spectrum indicates you are undecided on her, so might as well get her out of the way)
Ok hirap magdecide…
Hindi kasi ako fan ni Hannah Arnold, Vicky Rushton, Sam Bernardo and Maureen Montaigne kahit noon pa…
Para sa akin lahat sila sakin may kulang…
Yung mga sentimental faves ko me kulang din pero I wana root for them because I know they want to be better and do their best…
Kaya ko like si Honey… she didn’t bomb her Q&A but she has substance I can tell.. its only her lack of a neutral accent that hindered her from giving the best message she could..
I also like Gabrielle.. The girl wants to win… its her hunger that makes her inspiring.. sya yung pag nagka crown masasabi mong pinag hirapan..
Patricia Babista… I see the potential.. and I live the academic credentials… sya yung hindi ko pa nakitang isinabak sa Q&A pero hindi ka mahiyang ilaban kasi alam mong may utak…
Francheska Taruc- rooting for her kasi mabait naman sya and of course nepotism… hahaha…
Same with Patrizia- hindi ko kilala personaly pero yes.. Nepotismo din… hahaha
