Shaira Marie Rona: Binibini in the wings

One of the bright-eyed beautiful ladies who will file for Bb. Pilipinas 2020 today is Shaira Marie Rona, a 21 year-old stunner who was born and raised in Pampanga.

Shaira is currently living in Mandaluyong City where she took her Bachelor degree in Human Resource Development Management at the Rizal Technological University. She graduated with Latin Honor and was also one of the top 30 Outstanding Human Resource students of the Philippines last 2018.

This raven-haired beauty started her journey into pageantry back in 2016 when she from joined school pageants before crossing to national pageants. She was crowned Miss RTU 2016 and represented her school in Miss PASUC NCR where she took home the crown of Miss PASUC NCR 2016. After that, being she became the representative of National Capital Region in Miss PASUC NATIONAL. She was named 2nd Runner-Up here. She was also proclaimed Miss Mandaluyong 2018 and represented her city in Miss Millennial Philippines (watch video below). After that, she went for Miss Scuba Philippines 2018 and reached the Top 8 Finalists. Last year, she was in the Top 10 of Ambassadress of the World Philippines 2019.

Whew! That was quite a string of pageant participations in just a matter of four years. She has really polished herself in the game by now and is ready to conquer the bigger stage of Araneta Coliseum if she makes it as a Binibini for the 2020 edition.

  2. Maputi lang kaya maganda para sa mga Pilipino. Mahilig kasi ang mga Pilipino ng maputi. Kung hindi ito maputi iwan ko nalang. Wala pa talaga akong nakikita na na feature dito sa blog ni sir Norman na unique ang beauty. Higit sa lahat mas maganda talaga kapag kayumanggi yung kulay ng balat. Sigurado stastandout siya kahit saan pang beacon ang sasalihan.

      • Oo kayumanggi sina Donna, Maria at Alaiza, Flor Tula, but their beauties are not unique. Si Donna for one ay parang si Miss Jamaica 2016. We should look for someone who’s a total package. Unique ang beauty, kayumaggi, not necesarilly intelligent but witty, matangkad, elegante and has lots of personality.

      • Flor baka naman EDGY ang beauty na hinahanap ni Bb. Pilipinas 2020. Marami nyan dito sa Pilipinas but most (if not all of) them don’t join beauty contests. He, he, he…

    Totoo ba na hindi si Gazini ang magpapasa ng corona for the new MUP? Wala na daw final walk ang bakla?

    On board na daw si Ahtisa and Alaiza for MUP?

    • @ ClaiRe IbbeTson Gazini is technically the property of BPCI. Someone commented somewhere earlier that her contract with them is good for a year and a half, so that effectively rules out any participation in this inaugural MUP. And just as well. She, the MUP 2020 winner, will be the inaugural titlist; there is no one before her.

      Alaiza, no doubt. Now, kung ipapasok si Ahtisa ng A&Q simply as a filler dahil HANGGA’NG NGAYON AY PAHIRAPAN PA RIN ANG APPLIKANTE, ‘eh ‘di isabak na rin si Michelle Gumabao, tutal na-feature na rin naman siya dito ni Blogger Love. Huwag kalilimutan – Mr. Tinio ONLY features those whose managers/handlers have approached him. He is, after all, THE BUSIEST/BIGGEST/SINGLE MOST INFLUENTIAL AND CONNECTED pageant blogger in the country at present. He does not come cheap.

      In my opinion, Ahtisa is more possibly being reserved for MWP because Tita L. said in a recent video that Steffi Aberasturri has opted to defer. Not that she will win. I personally wish that Manalo will be the ONE NA MANALO in…. Bolivia! Yep. I think Llegado’s successor is even now learning a little Spanish.

      Now whoever MWP 2020 will be, SHE MUST WANT TO ENTER SHOW BUSINESS. Do tell us who among the current crop of Filipina pageant hopefuls could possibly catch ALV’s eyes in this regard.

      Akeel will be my MEco-Filipinas if Cassandra Chan does not become the second (2nd) BB that Mr. Tinio said would crossover to MWP this year. Bear in mind that the two lower titles are where ALV “dumps” KF girls, but with GREAT results! Thia Thomalla and Sophia Senoron both SLAYED.

    • HINDI TALAGA PWEDE Claire kasi Jonas & Company belong to the House of Gryffindor (A&Q) while Gazini & her team belong to the House of Slytherin (KF). Second reason, MUP is Jollibee while BPP is Pizza Hut. Jonas & Company love Isaw while Gazini loves Otap. Pag nagakaon ka dili lami i-partner sa isaw ang otap. Anong ma-say mo dito Miss Flor Tula? He, he, he…

    I love the background… If speaks well and has a great pasarela and dancing skills, she could do well Internationaly…

    Great bet for all the crowns but if she’s KF, she could be a shoo-in for Miss Earth….

  5. Mr. Tinio, of the three MMP alums you have featured here – Rona, McDonnel, and Robson – who is the most “crownable” if BBP 2020 were on Friday, 31 January?

    Parang ayaw ko tuloy mag-food trip sa Mandaluyong…. Sabi ng millennial dabarkads, ‘yunf Adelina’s Ham, katamtaman. Ta’s ‘yung barbecue, ‘sakto lang. 🙂

    Sabi sa’kin nu’ng frens ko dati, paglampas ng Nueve de Pebrero along Shaw at banda’ng Acacia Lane, lumulubog sa baha tuwing malakas ang ulan. Pero, malayo na ‘yan sa Mental. So, OK lang.
