“Gazini” is curiously identified as a man’s name based on its African origin. And as a first name, the bearer is analyzed to have a very independent nature yet friendly, approachable and generous. Now with our newly-crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2019, it has suddenly become the popular call for a female with Goddess-like beauty and aura. Gazini Christiana Jordi Ewamer Ganados now holds bragging rights as the most beautiful Filipina in the country’s realm of the Universe.
When Gazini was hailed as the top winner of the nationals last June 9, there was much to rejoice in seeing a worthy successor of Miss Universe Catriona Gray. True, there were other competitors deemed likely to have been proclaimed instead of her. But the minute you review her overall performance in the finals, there was no denying her universal physical appeal that can hold a candle to the other perceived thoroughbreds who will join the bigger cast of Miss Universe 2019 – an edition being talked about as likely to be happening in Dubai, UAE later in the year.
While some individuals might assume that Gazini comes from a privileged background with all the material trappings of a charmed existence, think again. She has actually lived a very normal life – be it in Dapitan City, Talisay in Cebu or Loon in Bohol. If there is one detail about her not very many of us are aware of, she has not seen her Palestinian father ever since. In fact, she is not even aware if he is still alive and updated on her achievements. Let’s reserve this part for another time, though, and focus on how she can better prepare for the back-to-back mission in Miss Universe.
Gazini has almost every box ticked in what everyone is looking for in a pageant representative. If we can productively share our thoughts and advises on the areas where she is still deemed lacking on, then let us be more of positive-thinking allies in her journey to the bigger crown. After all, if it’s #ForThePhilippines, then it must be a united effort every step of the way.
