  1. Gazini is proud to have connections to these significant places in her life:

Dapitan City – birthplace and residence until grade school

Talisay City, Cebu – place of residence since moving from Dapitan City

Loon, Bohol – Ganados roots (she was Miss Loon 2017)

Residents of all three places are rejoicing in her victory.

  3. The girls at the back seemed sincerely happy and were obviously delighted when Gazini’s name was announced as MUP.

    • @ Cool Brew Uy! Kumusta na?

Mga baguhan sa blog, ‘eto si CB. Sa sobra’ng coolness, bihira magparamdam. Mag-hello kayo.

Pogi siya, no? Para’ng Vico Sotto. 🙂

      • @Flor, Im ok naman. I seldom leave a comment but I always drop by to check out the latest happenings. I’m very happy with Jordi’s MUP victory

    • Miss Philippines 1954 is reportedly a granddaughter of Bernabe Reyes. So sheust have Boholano roots. A local historian like Nitz may enlighten us.

  4. When was the last time a Cebuana won BBP-Universe? I can’t remember… Closest is Maxine Medina who’s mother is from the neighboring island of Bohol. Karla Bautista of Cebu was BBP-World 2004. Does anyone here know?

Gazini I respect you… but yes, I want to push you to excell specialy when it comes to the Q&A because a beauty queen is also a spokesperson. Sana magaling din yung lawyer na nagtetrain sa inyo… and I hope geo-political awareness ang focus dahil trust me something related itatanong sayo… I was able to predict Catriona’s top 5 question… I’m confident I would also predict yours if you do make it to the Top 5.

Did I hear it right? if it’s not Korea the pageant would be held in Dubai? That would be historical! The United Arab Emirates and Palestine has strong economic and political relations. The UAE has an embassy in Palestine while Palestine maintains an embassy in Abu Dhabi. Both countries are a part of the Middle-Eastern region and share close cultural ties. Her Palestinian Arab lineage would be a huge advantage because surely the Arab sponsors and audience would be rooting for her. Gazini should start studying Palestinian history and culture in relation to Israel ASAP if she wants to be prepaired for any politicaly, related questions from now on until during the MU competition itself.

    • For a Visayan, Pebbles Asis was crowned last 1987 and she really represented Roxas City. But for a Cebuana, I can only think of Pilar Pilapil.

      • Wow! This batch are making history… and if MU is in Dubai… that would be another historical milestone! WOW! :-O

      • This Batch is making history… para sa mga Grammar Nazi dyan… 😀

  5. My queen.. Down to earth and relatable. hardworking, mabait she is that’s why Masaya ako nanalo sya. Beyond beauty means values and great caharcter.

  6. I don’t see her to have similarities with other beauty queens. She also doesn’t have a Latina vibe in her. She is Gazini. Sweet, coy, flirtatious (on stage) but with restraint. Not over the top.

As for her speaking skills. I appreciate that she tries her best. Using inflict instead of instil, but I still understood what she meant. She will be a force to reckon with if she gets good training on how to compose your thoughts.

  7. She comes across as a genuinely nice person in the interview. She is so sweet and I’m very happy she won. I’m sure they can train her more to communicate her thoughts better but her personality is already great.
So glad We have a humble queen

  8. Gazini is a combination of Miss South Africa + Miss Venezuela + Miss Albania 2018! Sa rampahan at awrahan at pagandahan makikipag sabayan!

  9. Reminds me of MJ
But she seems to be more aggressive than her .. so I’m a little hopeful

  10. I find her very sincere and charming in this post-pageant interview. Very Likable!!!

  11. so di pa pala nya na meet palestinian dad nya since she was born..an interesting backstory..and in true gazini fashion, gusto nya daw ma meet ito para magpasalamat sa genes..o divahh..kalokah talaga ang pambansang beshie. hihi

  12. this is a pretty excellent 10-minute interview , natural , authentic … Best of Luck , keep it up !

just crossed my mind, what if Emma goes to MI and Bea goes to MGI , together with Leren in MG, we might end up with 4 crowns out of the 6… ( I am not that hopeful for Intercont. and Supra. )

  13. Bakit Dubai ang binanggit ni Mario? I thought either Korea or Brazil.

May nakita ako sa YouTube na “7 reasons why Gazini won”. Ihinilera siya with Gabriela Tafur and Julia Horta. Ta’s, “do the Math”, daw – Sthefany Gutierrez + Tamaryn Green = Gazini Ganados.

Imo, this whole Latina PHYSICAL comparison is a disservice. She is made to blend in, not stand out. I suggest KF study Supsup’s performance in Sao Paolu. Clearly Asian-looking but moving like a local.

Peaceful SLEEPY day to those who can. 🙂

And NEVER forget the SOULFULNESS of Laura-Gonzales-Ospina. Always GIVE FEZ, always BEKI.

      • Hmmmm if so.. Then there is a great chance Dubai would win because they can afford it… There are a lot of OFWs in the middle-East… and it would be more historical… From the Arab sponsors alone could earn millions.. it would be a huge business leverage for the MU org. I hope Michael Cinco would dress her for the finals. I’m sooo excited!
