Dear readers, you might be wondering the order by which I am presenting the individual blogs for the six titles in my Bb. Pilipinas 2019 predictions. Well, first off, I started with the crowns that are relatively more stress-free to analyze because – from my vantage point – the pegs for their respective international competitions are not as complicated. That being said, let me share my #Infinity8 for Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2019:
Marianne Marquez of Marikina
Gazini Ganados of Talisay, Cebu
Hannah Arnold of Masbate
Nicole Guerrero of Ilocos Sur
Samantha Lo of Cebu City
Emma Tiglao of Pampanga
Samantha Bernardo of Palawan
Resham Ramirez Saeed of Maguindanao
Since Gazini was already presented as my final pick for Miss Grand International, that effectively leaves me with just seven (7) choices for the title. And what a remaining group to draw the successor of reigning titleholder Jehza Huelar who managed a Top 10 finish during last year’s Miss Supranational.
Truthfully, the performer profile that the organizers of the Panama-based pageant group is looking for can filter the selection quite easily. It wants to have beauties who are no wallflowers in my opinion. They want someone who can drive you nuts with her beauty, as well display an ability onstage and in public activities to shine without the need for some constant egging-ons. I am teetering between two Binibinis – Samantha Bernardo and Emma Tiglao. They fit the mold to a T. Aggressive without looking hard-sell. Beautiful without asking the opinions of others if they really are.
In my heart, I want Samantha Bernardo for this mission. But I can honestly feel that she is setting herself up for something bigger. Her motivation can be graphically described as filled with some gritting of the teeth, or “gigil” if you will.
In my head, I will go for the Kapampangan lass Emma Mary Tiglao. She may not be the best out there if you’re looking for a public speaker, but she still has more than enough goods to make herself shine without trying hard. On top of that, she has paid her pageant dues for many years now and this year should be the time to claim what could be rightfully hers for the picking.
