Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!

catriina can be seen wearing local pieces and bylines as justine aliman as stylist..i wonder whats the arrangement now with MUs resident glam team led by Marquis Bias as stylist.
Aya abesamis is the Sophida of bbp the body and the grace minor crown is not far fetched.
Vicki is mic bound w her face
But but but ang mup at mi dapat maganda face matangkad may backstory at q and a Kaya itawid NG training. Si Maxine nga Naka top6 bec maganda and pleasant
i doubt if maxine made it to top 6 kung hindi tau ang host nun.
I really think Maxine deserved her place in the top 6
She was in shape and uber-gorgeous then
I was more worried abt Rachel and MJ
Remember Laura Lehmann na na dead MA sa mw. Kung si Cynthia tomalla pinadala baka na top 5 pa
tayo
Out of 40 girls 20 ang 5’7 above
Out of 20 girls 10 ang maganda mukha why settle for a questionable ipaglalaban ko beauty.
Emma T ang Ganda din not to mention she greatly improved sa q and a
Julia should get this award
She has the most game and cosmopolitan personality and she is uber articulate.
Many people say she’s not that pretty . But how is she any different from MUP 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2016 and 2017?
I won’t be surprised if she gets the top crown.
@fabian. I beg to disagree ariella janine shamcey mj is rather in the acceptable norms of what you so call pretty. May malakas na appeal mga former mup Julia is babalu as in vavalu at may angle lang. Julia should be crowned but not the top plum.
I like Julia but her facial beauty will put as back to the tagtuyot days
Same w the not extra ordinary lawyer
So, for you, neither Julia nor Patch. Then, that leaves only Hannah or Gazini if fez ang primary MUP criterion mo, for as it stands now sila’ng dalawa na lang at safe to assume you are not considering Vickie?
@flor tula I’m considering Sam b, gazini and Sam lo
I also like Rasheed for mgi
Hanna is mi lock
Importante facial value even Jonas gauffud observed that in one of his interview
Alangan naman magpadala tayo NG maganda pa rep NG shupit balers
Sa batch nato madami matangkad at maganda Kaya hasain pa why settle for not facially beautiful or kinulang sa height. Q and a nahahasa Yan remember Kylie versoza first try.
@Bonsai Hater
Have you seen the new Miss Teen USA… is she who you would consider as conventional beauty?
@closer yes ms teen USA is a mulatto beauty. Mas maganda Kaysa sa mga manok NG pinipilit ibalik ang 2000 to 2009 pinas years na supporters. 2010 to 2018 nag place Pinas then 2019 oh no?!!! Masaklap nyan Mas maganda pa Yun puteri Indonesia 2019 sa pinipilit na ibalik ang tagtuyot days.
All I’m pointing out may Mas maganda at matangkad why settle for a questionable ipaglalaban ko beauty
Like i said the plain Janes eeer beauty can win a crown given they are well traveled smart worldly w a great cv, coming fr great Alma matter but I don’t see them a candidate that will even get a top10 in mi or mu.
@bonsai im sure you remember the time prior to MU2012 finals when many people have expected Janine T to not go far in the competition. The minute she was crowned MUP many already expressed disappointment, saying that Janine is, as the term used back then, a “tagabungkal beauty”. Even when Janine was able to achieve a great deal of physical transformation many people still believed that she wouldnt go far. I even recall during her guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice along with Venus and Shamcey, that Vice Ganda said something along the lines of “ay, sayang naman walang Talent Competition sa Miss U”, seemingly implying that the only way Janine might place is if her ballet skills had weight on her scores. Then came the morning after the finals. The same people who had been calling her ugly were the first ones to cry foul over Olivia edging out Janine. What was their main argument? That Janine had a better QandA performance than Olivia (and not because Janine was more beautiful than Olivia). The general outrage was that Janine should have won because she gave the best answer. Mind you, that was still Trump Era. Eh how much more kaya now that IMG focuses more on substance and interview skills than physical beauty? I mean, Jamaica, Brazil and Great Britain placing over Ecuador, Colombia, Russia, and Lebanon in Thailand last year, doesn’t that tell you something?
@unorthodox I find Janine witty and a Kazakhstan looking beauty even in 2011. Even pia I always insist na maganda sya. Ang problem ni Janine pia weight issues that time not facial beauty. I know you meant well. I also want the best for PH like I said why settle for less daming choices sa bbp 2019. I don’t want the mwp Laura days to come back
@bonsai you said “why settle for less daming choices sa bbp 2019”. But the thing is, how do we qualify what is “less”? Less in terms of what? Kasi in my perspective, “less”=not good at interviews, for you naman (i think) “less”=hindi gaanong maganda, and for the judges at BBP finals they might have a completely different idea of what “less” is. Another thing is that, you’re citing an example from a completely different pageant. I mean, we all know how MW works. And what they do there are not the same as, in fact waaaay different than, what IMG does in MUO. Magkaibang magkaiba ang selection process nila and so i think mas credible to look at past editions of MU instead of citing past editions of MW kasi hindi naman applicable yun for MUP selection. Dare I say, I am confident that Laura Lehmann would have reached at least Top 10 if she went to IMG-run Miss Universe instead. She was simply just went to the wrong pageant, that’s all.
@unorthodox I also cited the mup dry years. Kindly read maybe you skipped it.
I’m sure you will say it’s not img years.. Case and point mup and mip should be facially beautiful. Yun di na kailangan NG debate. I don’t have any qualms if the not so universally appealing wins supra mgi mic or globe we all know how ahtisa and catriona easily placed very well walang away sa Ganda ni ahtisa at cat. Yun iba tingnan mo may debate. May rule of beauty nga e kuha ka ruler. Sukatin mo Kung pantay Kung di vavalu or mukhang pipi mukha
Yes. Dindi Gallardo feels lang.
@ bonsai, my apologies for not seeing that. And also because you used the Laura MWP example more frwquently kaya yun ang remarkable sa akin. Anyway, my point about you using Laura’s MW example still stands, It’s still inappropriate to use it as reference for the selection of MUP.
now, regarding your points
1. re: Cat and Ahtisa
-Both ladies placed waaay up high because both of them are Total performers. They excelled in all aspects of the competition, with Ahtisa rumored to rank #1 in all rounds in MI but settled for 1st RU bec the Japs didnt want to crown 3 Asians in a row, and of course we all saw how Cat performed from the moment she landed in Bangkok. Universal beauty alone is not enough to win. Again, cases in point: Lebanon, Ecuador, Colombia of MU 2018; Huong Pham and Laura Spoya in MU15; Marta Stepien (MUCanada18) in Miss International 2017; Jessica Duarte (MIVene16) in Miss International 2016.
2. Who owns MUO
-IMG ownership places big premiums on substance and interview skills (60% di ba? then 20% each for prelim SS and EG performances), yes. But it’s not just about who owns MU. I mean, we placed as runners up from 2010-2013 plus Top 10 in 2014, Years under Trump Era. I even cited Janine Tugonon as example, who most people felt shouldve won the crown under Trump era based largely on how she performed during the Q&A. Even Oprah felt Shamcey shouldve won in 2011 based on her Q&A. I think these are enough na to infer that we should give premiums on interview skills regardless of pageant ownership.
3. 2000-2009 MUPs
-the key here is pageant innovations in general. Aminin natin, trainings and styling back then were not as developed as how they are now. Imagine mo na lang if Teresa Licaros or Bianca Manalo were afforded the same type of styling, training, and dedication from trainers and pageant fans as current pageant candidates are experiencing in recent years.
Ang dami ko nang sinabi haha sorry. I guess ganito na lang. Among the current roster of candidates in BBP19, walang total package talaga. Lahat ng candidates may pagkukulang in at least one aspect. And we need to understand that some aspects are easier to deal with and remedy, while others take years to develop. So given these, anong ipprioritize natin to achieve optimal results
PS. Oh eto si baccla oh, di pantay ang fez at a little bit babalu din. Pero wagi ng MU! San ka pa hahaha
Samantha Lo should get this award she is articulate in any speaking
arena. I have been following her since BBC . Her sense of humor is as
refreshing as she is beautiful. She might not be Moreno but beauty has no color.

@unorthodox.. Julia is one of my crown worthy ladies that’s why I’m suggesting some enhancements will make her a great mup for next year thus ms flor tula said she is representing a diff kind of beauty. Well I’m pro enhancements Kung safe at ikakabuti NG chance for love of country but if she will not undergo . A tough styling team designers and make up artist are very much needed.. I understand what you are getting at she can be a great mup next year after the makeover just like Sam bernardo makeover and enhancements..
I only count 38 beauties…out of 40.
Hope all is well with the two M-I-A’s.
Hmmmm? 😉
Was that Nicole Guerrero (in soft curls) holding up that Tempo tabloid spread with the headline, “Chase Leads to Boy’s Death”?
They should have had her with Bannawag, instead. (sigh)
I was actually expecting Nicole to be a frontrunner bec she was a title holder but she registers chubby in some pic
This should be the Award that Patch should try to win given her background.
Natawa ako sa pose ni Malka Shaver sa 2nd group shot, tignan nyo reaction ni Hannah sa Kanya! #AllTeaNoShade
