  1. I initially had my reservations about JB Saliba winning the top plum and I even commented earlier that the organization strategically fielded the best contestant in Mister Supranational instead.

Until I got to see the coverage of the competition in YouTube.

JB was hands down the best performer that night and he deservedly swept the lion’s share of the special awards…

    Mister Best Skin
    Mister Bench Body
    Mister Blue Wave Day Spa
    Mister TechnoMarine

I am even inclined to say that both he and Denver Hernandez gave Robin Hanrath stiff competition for the Mister Photogenic award.

And to top it all off, he convincingly aced the Top 8 Q&A with a most spontaneous, well thought out and eloquently expressed response to the question of how to influence the youth from getting involved in terrorism related activities.

JB Saliba indeed deserves to be Mister World Philippines 2018. Hands down he is far better than his 2 predecessors who may have the edge in looks but apparently pales in comparison personality-wise which is decidedly the crux of Mister World.

  2. tiningnan ko ang winner MrW18

    he looks exotic Pinoy
he will represent Pinoys very well
    mala Ogie Alcasid nung MU94

    • What?! The winner is handsome!… I’m more concerned that he is not wearing black socks. 🙂

      • I’m sorry how much you sugar coat the results of Mr. World Philippines he still not at par. Okay Lang kung sa barangay level. Mas maganda pa ipalit yung first runner up sa kanya. Oh well it is what it is.

  3. Seems like this is a strategic move to field the best contestant in Mister Supranational knowing that a Mister World homecourt victory is most unlikely. Shades of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 when a similar strategy won for us our 6th Miss International crown. But IMHO Ameen Sardouk should have merited one of the crowns – those looks and height alone should have more than compensated for any apparent shortcoming in articulateness. At any rate, congratulations and best wishes to our Mister World Philippines winners – they are unquestionably the most deserving crop bar none in the local male pageantry arena this year. This was indeed a competition among alpha males which thankfully didn’t fall short from expectations.

  4. If a short halfie like Matheus Song can penetrate the Top 5 at Krynca-Zdroj on sheer brute force of the handsome face and online popularity, Poli should easily give Filipinas its best finish yet this December. The key is to get the support of ASEAN fans, who rallied behind the Korean-Brazilian last year and whose fervor was noticed and monitored by the Supranational organization. He went on to bag lucrative modelling and endorsement deals in Bangkok. This is what it’s all about : CELEBRITY.

Height-obssessed Pignoys and Pignays may as well rally behind Song’s REALLY TALL predecessor come January. For start-up actor and ALV talent Saliba, may his participation open BIG doors to a bright career in the local entertainment scene. Auguri to my co-“Iskolar ng Bayan”. 🙂

I think Hanrath and Hernandez should have switched assignments. At least Denver would have ended up with his Century Tuna Superbods co-alum, Montagne. I think “Kimi-Robin” sounds nice, too. In any case, Denver is lucky to to get another chance to represent; he bears with him the prestige of being an MUM semifinalist. He decided to relocate (here) in a bid for independence and self-identity, but so far a bit role as a vampire at “La Luna Sangre” is the best he can show .

And if ALV can negotiate that other title/franchise (Mr. Tinio said previously that two, not just one, brand would be added), then Sardouk should see action eventually and prove his worth.

As for Placencia, Best Man again! That’s buhay…

    At “Bae”, usap tayo…

  5. Bet ko talaga for MrWPH is JB. i believe he has the face and all.. yun nga except the height.. BUT.. for me naman personality >>> height. remember nung pinadala natin before sa Mr World? they have everything – face, height, physique.. pero walang personality kaya hindi umangat.

Though feeling ko at first si Denver for Supra.. Si baby (CHAROT!) wilfred ko, sayang hindi naka kuha ng title. oh well. let’s see nalang. good luck guyssss.

  6. Im so happy my bet won the top spot. The moment i saw him on the press presentation i knew he would win. Plus i kinda love his come-from-behind win, surpassing heavy favorites Marco Poli and Ameen Sardouk. Though if I were going to be strategic I would have given the top plum to Ameen Sardouk. I mean just the height alone of that man nanglalamon na, and by the looks of it his physique really improved a lot.

  7. mahihirapang sumabay to sa mga naggagwapuhan at nagtatangkarang reps from europe and the americas…sesemi to just bec tayo ang host…nothing special with this guy

  8. He is just too small even in the MrWP contest although there was 5’4″ MrW Canada recently. He must have some merits. Let us see.

  9. unrelated: ang starlet na si Pia eh nag calendar girl na lang
    ng Ginebra

    nasaan na ang international contracts

  10. Unrelated: napanood niyo ba ang ang MGI prelims? na-slide si Eva sa evening gown portion! Omg

      • kinakabahan din ako after MG’s performance sa Miss Globe, I thought we have sent strong reps this year sa line up ng BBP2018 winners, pero mjo tagilid mga performances nila sa international pageants nila mygawd I kenat…. si Atihsa namn pa sweet2 muna sa MI so tingnan naten ano mgging laro nya dun peo maganda din xa…hayst Lord please gabayan nio po mga Queens namin! Manalo matalo, we are so proud of you guys… galingan nio pa! kaya nio yan!!! Go Pinay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

    • She can kiss mgi crown goodbye. She’s been lackluster since day 1. At ang punggok nya tignan. I wonder what happened to her.

  11. I always thought JB Saliba is the total package… well except for the height… But he is representing Filipinos… and who would best showcase the Philippines by a host delegate than a 100% homegrown Filipino?

Marco Poli so far is our best representative to be sent to Mr. Supranational… Hopefully he would bring home the crown.

The very charming Denver Hernandez who’s fluent in Tagalog, English & Italian is trully the best rep to be sent to Mr. Multinational

While the mestizo Robin Hanrath who speaks Tagalog, English and Dutch is the best delegate to be sent to Mr. Eco International.

All the winners are completely fit and the judges picked the ones with the best communication skills. Congratulations & Bravo!

  12. i guess they chose a Pinoy looking candidate or are they trying to win Mister Supranational maybe? What happened to Ameen?

  13. The MW winner is okay but short. Hopefully he doesn’t get drowned out when next to his giant competitors.
