Yesterday’s Press Presentation of Miss World Philippines 2018 at the Vestibule Bar of Resorts World Manila was made more lively with the presence of fan groups who actively cheered for their favorites. Aside from a big turnout from members of the media, the supporters of popular joiners Katarina Rodriguez, Pearl Hung and Kim de Guzman were allowed entry. And it really made the proceedings even more unique as compared to the other national pageants.
National Director Arnold Vegafria even hinted during the open mic session that they are in negotiations for two (2) more international pageant franchise that would effectively raise the number of crowned winners to six (6). Between now and the first week of October, he stated that the new titles will be known through their social media page.
General Manager Bessie Besana proudly announced the talent qualifiers as well – Alyssa Alvarez, Danica Reynes, Angeline Santos, Kimi Mugford, Crystal Freedman, Rose Murphy and Paulina Labayo.
And as expected, the loudest cheers were reserved for Katarina Rodriguez who was visibly elated with the presence of her loyal support group.
Finals will be held at the MOA Arena on October 7. But before that date, the ladies will have several pre-pageant activities including a trip to El Nido, Palawan for the Swimsuit and Beach Beauty competitions, a Charity Gala where the Talent Finalists will perform and numerous public appearances for sponsors and the charity beneficiary of the organization.

Sa headshot. Maureen nailed it. But still katarina for me mwp kahit na medyo may unqueenly moves sya shes still my choice. Pero sana maalis nya ung unqueenly moves nya. I find her press presentation may pagka unqueenly ng onti. What she showed was pang MU. Haysss I wish she will appoint nalang sa MU next year tsk. But in over all katarina is a great choice for mw. With in one month of preparation i know she can transform into more queenly. Her awra is okay. Her beauty. Her height. He body onting toned lang kaya yan in one month. Her credentials is uber. Only more queenly moves that i want her to have. Minsan kase parang d nya alam ang ipopose nya. May pagka malikot din kase.
Arriene is still my RH for some reasons. Gusto ko ang gingawa sa kanya ng team nya ngayon. I really dont like her in straight hair. Sana lang ma soften pa nila si arriene. I find her may pagka manly ng onting onti lang pero carry naman but need more feminity para bongga. But if she win mwp. Well ok lang din. Pero si kat sa RH. Ganda ng credentials ni arriene very fit sa mw kaya lang hinde credentials ang pinakatitignan ng mw during finals night. First Its all about look. Poise and queenly attitude last ung brain.

i don’t know about you guys but for me, sana nga they just give one title.. MWP lang.. kasi masasayang din lang naman yung iba if sa ibang pageant lang mapunta. buti sana kung BBP to na okay ang mga ibang titles.. eh hindi e.

I would love Katarina to win MWP then Maureen to get a minor crown so she can join BbP to get the MUP crown.

Hilig niya mag gray contact lenses para magmukhang di adopted ng foreigner na tatay. Pure pinay lang yan diba? Yung mother niya nag-asawa lang ng foreigner. I don’t believe na may half siya na blood. Mukhang normal lang na pinay. Styling niya ginagawa na para mukhang western kuno.

Now i can see what others see in Maureen Montagne. She has the best head shot among the 40 candidates. Her presentation also was a cut above the rest, especially nung nakahilera sila by ten, kitang kita yung level ng body language nya angat na nagat kumpara sa mga katabi
the current Katarina is really more of an MU candidate than MW. Had she presented herself in Binibini with the same energy and stage presence that she had now, she could really have snatched the MUP crown back then
My bet is Maureen.

Kim looked even more gorgeous in motion, sayang talaga siya kasi naareserve na kay Katarina ang MWP crown. I admit she has a pretty (but bland) face pero ang asim ng smile niya, parang laging pinipigaan ng calamansi bago ngumiti hihihi
im placing my bet on maureen montagne , katarina and arienne calingo this year. As of today, i think the mw title could either be on maureen or Kat closely followed by Ariene. Noteworthy are Katarina’s very compelling BWAP projects which cannot be overlooked.

Which now made me think : the winners of the male counterpart pageant this weekend will need to be suitable consorts. Masculine in a refined way but not metrosexual necessarily. Kens to the Barbies!

Ano naman 2 titles yon baka tourism din at nd popular makaksira lang sa MWP Organization kc baka unpopular din yan tulad ng Multinational Eco at Riena baka magalit si Madam Julia at dinagdagan pa ng low caliber na title bawiin pa ang franchise. Mahirap kc habulin ang mga titles na naka award na sa BPCI unless sulutin nila at doblehin ang bayad.
