Pageant-wise, you can tell how promising an educational institution is when they hold their annual competition (which pits the college students side-by-side Senior high school standouts) and the youngest candidates would prevail over the older ones. Such is the case last Tuesday night when I was invited to sit on the judges’ panel as Chairman of the Board to select the winners of Mr & Miss SPCF (Systems Plus College Foundation) 2018 in Angeles City.
True, there were several noteworthy contenders among the tertiary students, but nobody close enough to outshine the efforts of young teenagers Raymond Lance Aguilar and Deserie Balajadia in stealing the thunder from among their older opponents. The tall young lady is a potential beauty queen, while her male counterpart is a future Medical student who articulates his thoughts with such clarity.
I just wanted to share my pleasure in judging the said pageant where the winners will also travel to Bangkok to be the school’s Ambassadors in SPCF’s upcoming partnership with other schools in the Thai capital.
I doff my hat to the entire production team (especially Director Larry Garcia) for coming up with an excellent staging of the annual pageant. I was also in the panel last year and the 2018 output definitely surpassed all previous editions combined.
